Loving that this is finally out and we get to see the results of it first hand thank you!
My concern now would be too much time and investment is being put into the internal ad system. What I mean by that is investing massive resources into a internal system like Facebook but with voting which has to be a monumental task.
I would instead encourage you to start smaller and test things. Things such as
Promoting my own profile on the left hand menu
Being able to buy a hash tag for a few hours that shows on the side within trending so

-- Paid tag
-- Normal tag
-- Normal tagIn post thread. So I can promote my article or something directly within threads for people to see. Impression based paid system would most likely work best. But with this you're going to have to provide some stats to the buyer.
Breaking it down and doing it in parts is going to see if it's worth expanding on and how much demand there is for it before you sick thousands or hundreds of thousands into building it all out only to be disappointed at the end.
In any case like I said before SUPER happy to finally see some action around here on this front.
I like all these ideas. The ability to promote an article by burning $LEO is something we really need to have IMHO.
