Sounds like what happened here in the USA and now people are starting to homestead a lot more. Commercialized and over regulated small farms is a bad path to go down.

They are creating a playfield for corporate and multinational companies to acquire farmers' lands and keep them as their workers.
Yep. That is always the case. Politicians and bureaucrats think they are the center of it all and end up destroying the golden goose...the economy.
