I am back this month with a review of Valueplan payouts in May 2024. Valueplan is the marketing arm of Hive that is using DHF funding to create marketing campaigns on Hive. Point to note I have nothing to do with Valueplan and do not receive any payouts from them. This is merely looking at the numbers that you can find in the Valueplan wallet.
The Bottom Lines.
So in May Valueplan gave out funds to 34 accounts on Hive in the form of Hive and HBD. For the purposes of ascetaining a USD value for Hive, I have taken the closing price per day for the month of May and averaged it out giving me a closing price of $0.2938. Any Hive that was paid out will be multiplied by this amount to get the USD value so we can come up with the most likely value to the funding give or take $100 here or there. The HBD value is taken at $1 peg as more than often than not it was trading higher than peg in May.So Valueplan spend around $130,194.01 in May. 163,708 Hive was paid out and 82096.51 HBD was paid out.
The Major Payout
If we look at the ranking on the payouts in May we see the rally car driver at number 1 spot with a total of 100,484 liquid Hive paid out to him in May. This amounts to $29,523.53 over the month if we convert it to USD value. The total YTD given to this account since January is amounting to 530,000 Hive and 18.126.89 HBD. (The rally car people like to be paid in Hive but there was one transaction made in error in HBD.) So the USD Value of payouts to the rally car are totaling just under $200,000 USD. Quite a substantial sum but it important for the Hive user to realize that these motor racing campaigns cost bucket loads of cash. May's payout to the rally car user accounted for 22% of the total Valueplan payout in May. Now this is only the payments to the rally car driver. There were more payments in May to do with the rally car which you can see below. All the liquid Hive that was paid out is related to the rally car so we can ascertain that just under 37% of May's budget was related to this one campaign.
3rd on the list is Blackheart and the Hackathons. The 10,000 given to the qmwallet is well project related as they own this wallet. We see the usual accounts coming in just under these. The Gym Workout , Hive Sucre and Victorwallet. There were quite alot of small payouts this month but there was a reason for this.
Bitcoin Pizza Day
Remember someone once purchased a pizza for 10,000 Bitcoin. Well the Hive Community celebrated BTC Pizza Day in style. It is looking like we spent $1400 on pizza in a number of different country. From Ghana to Peru to Cuba, you guys got your ham and pineapple on for good measure.
The Daily Payouts by Project
For a more detailed look at each description see below what the funding was spent on , the project and a description of the payouts as per Valueplan wallet.
YTD Ranked
So when we look at the YTD totals , the rally car user is out on top as I mentioned above. Number 2 with $110,369 paid out is crimisonclad who is a member of Valueplan who does alot of official Hive marketing business with the likes of Binance and X and also attends conferences for the platform. The Street Workout group in South America are at number 3 with $48,308 given to them this year. Scaled down abit since last year. The payouts are still large. There is a handball team sponsorship in at number 4 and the hackathons in at number 5 getting $43,135 since the start of the year. In at number 6 is Hive Sucre who promote the use of HBD as a stable currency. We have Woo Conventions in at number 7 from their big event earlier this year. Then we have arlettemsalase in at number 8 providing conferences for Hive getting paid $20,426 so far this year.
The total spent so far this year is around $705,439 USD over 52 users this year.
Incomings May
Many accounts have money funded as a contingency so we have seen two users give some of these funds back to Valueplan in May. Complements to the 2 accounts who give back their money not spent. Good stuff.
So there you have it. What essentially is the Hive global marketing budget spent in May. Hope you enjoyed this monthly summary. I will be back in June to look at that months payouts.
We are not that big, that such a sport sponsering makes any sense.
E.g. everybody knows Red Bull, so to have their logo everywhere reminds people about the brand. We have no brand yet, and to pour such a large part of the fund to a rally car - honestly?
I totally agree with you. It's crazy.
I don't know if anyone is interested targeting Asian whales but around where I am from, we have great amount of conferences and it's a great place to set up a booth. The thing is, I guess in Asia, it's just a lot more regulation which could be a little barrier to explain what hive is and stuff :D
You should try . Asia looks pretty much untapped at the minute with the exception of some hackathons and a
Few other bits
That's true. It's pretty thriving and people are willing to spend money except,it has to be a little more intriguing to them and obviously, they also think about profit and ROI a lot more, I think.
How many signups has the rally car led to so far?
I know the answer already, no need to reply.
Hi @namiks . The rally car community has 300 subscribers and 3 active users, 1 of whom is the driver. They would be doing well to have 10,000 subscribers and 200 active users like your community. 😃
This actually made me chuckle a little.
Better get my own proposal up, movie and pizza nights at the cost of a few thousand dollars per month? :D
