First off, I want to thank everyone who responded to the post that I wrote yesterday. The feed back and input was greatly appreciated. You can read the post here if you feel like you are out of the loop.
I am in the process of doing some dollar cost averaging and waiting to see what happens with the price of NCG (or WNCG) over the long term. It looks like the price might be up a little bit this morning, so hopefully by this afternoon I can have another swap or two taken care of. I did a swap last night around 9:00 PM EST for about $50 in gas fees. I converted about 1750 NCG to .6 or so ETH. I then decided to take $1000 of that ETH and buy some WLEO.
I had talked about making this move yesterday, but I wasn't sure it was something I was going to pull the trigger on it. I ended up with about 3900 Leo which is pretty decent in my opinion. It was taking a bit for the WLEO to transfer over to LEO, so I went to bed. This morning I came into my office and used LEODEX to make some more moves.
I decided that I was going to take a portion of that and buy about 500 HIVE to keep liquid for when the new packs drop in Splinterlands. I figure the packs will be something like $5 so having 500 Hive liquid should allow me to purchase close to 100 packs when they drop.
Actually, now that I think about it, I will probably need a bit more Hive than that. I guess I have time to start saving up...
With my newly acquired HIVE sitting in my wallet, it was time to turn my attention to the remaining LEO in my wallet.
I did the best thing I could think of which is powering it up. This pushes me past the end of year goal I set for myself of 5000 LP by the end of the year. With three months left before we hit 2022, I might need to adjust my goal out to 10,000 LP staked by the end of the year.
At the current price, I feel like Leo is a bit of a steal. I have lots of faith it is going to one day reach and surpass the previous highs we saw.
It's looking like it is going to be a great week for me crypto-wise. I am super excited to see my new Leo Power put to good use as I do my curating.
If the price of NCG keeps going up, I might be making another powerup sooner rather than later!

Having goals is important, crushing those goals before that time frame EPIC!
I'm not sure if they will change the $2 price point they might but I hope not. They make a good cut from transactions on Wax 5% of everything cards and packs.
From what I am hearing now, it might not matter how much the packs cost. I think there is going to be a huge run on them and getting your hands on any at all might be difficult no matter how much money you have or how much they cost.

For sure there's going to be a huge run on them. I hear SPS holders get access to vouchers first so I've been stacking as I have no idea how much I'll need yet. I'm curious if there will be airdrops of cards this time around like last time because that would increase the value even more! Massive upside potential here getting your hands on them early.
Yeah, I have been staking all of my SPS too. I think I sold a small portion a little bit ago, but for the most part I have just been tucking it away and letting it earn that crazy intrest!

Your a LEO/WLEO Animal! Reaching your goals must feel great. I am nearing 40,000HP and it was my goal to get there by the end of year. I should be just fine at reaching that. I am trying my best to spend and reinvest what I have, rather than put in new money. It's been pretty fun so far, growing my investment and diversifying as the stack grows. I wish I had some of your smarts when it comes to tokens and what not. I just don't understand some of them or the risks involved. I need a crypto advisor! hehe
My crypto advisor is called luck and I just happened to have a bit of it on some of my purchases! I had a goal of 30k HP by the end of the year. I hit that the other day so I adjusted it to 35K by the end of the year. Congrats on almost hitting 40k! That is awesome!

Nice job, About splinterlands and packs I think $5 is actually a better price point then $2.
When we get a booster of MTG they cost well over $5 now and most the cards you get are 0.05 cents.
At $5 I am thinking the cards will be worth far more in general.
I couldn't remember if they charged $5 or $2 in the past, so I just went with the higher number. Since they are sold out, you can't even go in and double check!
