For the past few months I've been converting all HBD I make from posts to Hive and then sitting on it until Hive Power-Up Day on the first. This has a couple benefits:
I've been doing pretty much the same thing lately. I think as long as Hive is below $1 it just makes the most sense. Am I supposed to be doing something with the PIMP tokens that I am earning?

Yep, I am in total agreement. We can benefit far more right now by converting it. After Hive passes a buck, then the HBD stacking will begin and we can enjoy that sweet 20%. It's win either way, eh?
With PIMP, hold it. The price has been increasing a lot recently, and with Witty's pushes, it will keep doing so. Ray wants to buy a large stake for the Mancave, but is waiting on Witty presenting to the Dragon's Den. That may bring more of the dragons into the token too. So hold on. Also, if you hold a certain amount then you will get daily divs of various H-E tokens and also Hive. I think you have to be within the top 100 to get that.

Okay cool. I will just keep holding then. Yeah, I was moving a lot of my HBD into savings so I could establish a basic income from that. It really kept me from growing my account the way I want to.
The idea of making a basic income from HBD saving is so attractive, isn't it? I was doing the same as you. I was up just over 1k HBD, but when Hive fell to 25 cents I watched as @traciyork traded in a lot of her HBD for Hive to power up and I decided to do the same. I miss that nice interest payment... but oh well. I figure now is the time to stack Hive and then when the next bull run starts, then will be the time to restore that HBD stack.
Yeah, I probably could have played it better, but I have it there now. I don't really see the point of messing with it as long as Hive is sitting close to $.50. If it were to drop back down to $.25 I might be tempted though.
