I was actually just talking to my wife about something similar to this over the weekend. I had planned to write a post about it, but I will probably push it out for a bit. It wasn't anything quite as deep as this, but I have a decision I need to make and I know it isn't going to be popular, but it has to be made anyway. If it were a popularity contest, it is a no win situation. I've known folks who poached deer in the past, but it was literally the only way they could feed their family, so nobody bothered to report it.
