I just put a top end battery in my heavy duty pickup about a year ago and it was something like $300 USD for the battery. It should last for the life of the truck though. I was able to install it myself, so that saved me some money too. I'm glad you were able to find one for a more reasonable price.
Hope you live in the cold climate. Florida weather is bad for batteries. Lucky it lasts three years as mentioned.
