Yesterday I was chatting with @taskmaster4450le here on threads about fast food joints and especially about Wendy's.
We were wondering if there are there any Wendy's in Europe and I just have to look it up... Hold tight!

An excellent #threadstorm and great research. This is another use case for Threads.
Thanks! I noticed it's pretty cool to use Threads that way, to continue the thought, take it further, and so on.
In the 1980s Wendy's opened restaurants in the Benelux countries(Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxemburg) but made a decision to pull back in the same decade.
After that, the dark ages lasted for quite a bit in Europe.
In 2013 Wendy's opened a restaurant in Georgia and after that in the United Kingdom in 2021.
According to Wikipedia, Wendy's is planning on opening restaurants also in Romania and in Ireland.

So, Wendy's still pretty rare here in Europe.
Probably the first time I heard about Wendy's was while watching Pulp Fiction. Samuel Jackson mentions it to a guy before giving the speech and then shooting him.

Thinking about Wendy's got me thinking about another related thing:
Is kebab popular in the United States? I mean, I've never seen people eating Döner kebab-style fast food in films or in series...

The best kebab I've ever had was in Berlin. So good, doesn't cost that much, and does the trick. Tell us about your kebab experiences! :)
