I think the wrapped token here is the key which makes it comparable to ETH L2s, or their DEXs with all of them using ETH as currency similar to that swap.hive is used on H-E for fees.
I don't know, there aren't that good DEXs on Hive anyway. BeeSwap is pretty good though
beeswap is not on Hive. It is just a HE skin

Crypto-shots is mostly Hive and once they get their items up on darkcloaks will be full Hive.
We are also building our video games on top of InLeo and Hive.
Peakd/ecency etc... are just front-ends to the Hive blockchain. I would not consider them built on Hive but more windows into Hive like fancy block explorers.
VSC is being built on Hive. More of a hybrid but with potential.

People going to the Hive trending page and upvoting trying to max their earnings are a big part of the Hive problem.
