Just the other day I was thinking about a way for the team to communicate with us, kinda something like a sticky post but I suppose this is a good way to push important update posts.

Look at the top of trending and new pages...there are sticky posts.
Those I've noticed. I guess it's a good idea to keep them there for the new users.
