I saw the news that some politicians in Brazil are considering making Bitcoin legal tender like El Salvador did. What's the situation like on the ground there? Are there many merchants accepting it as payment?

The regulation of cryptocurrencies here is still something for the future, but there is some noise about it.
However, I don't believe in cryptocurrencies as the official currency in Brazil (at least not for the next few years).
