My father worked as a cook working almost full time not as well as my Mom's income so she became the main bread winner. I spent more time with my father as a result and I became closer to him than my Mom even if he couldn't sew if his life depended on it. But I learned cooking fine and he often shared his interest in coins that he got from his grandfather.
To me it was all the treasure in the world when I put on the little pirate hat and sit next to him and played with the silver dollars. While his income didn't afford him much in new additions often he got what he could afford.
Every time I add to his unfinished collection I feel that a part of him is still here among the coins and memories with me approving my new coin purchase and remembering his stories.
I got 101 Hive set aside for #hpud, I may not have enough free time to do a post but I can still participate.
