I don't think so. I think it was a necessary battle against an agressor, just like now in Ukraine.
The result will be another failed state. Which is a pity, as I liked Ukraine.
A failed state is a Russia´s puppy state. That is everything that Ukraine cannot become.
time will tell.
Just look at the past when the Soviet Union still existed. Nobody wants to go back to that times in eastern Europe except for Russia itself.
