Yesterday they announced the launch of Aptos, the new Layer 1 founded by former Meta employees, with logic similar to the blockchain that Facebook was supposed to launch for Libra.
Its special features are the Move programming language, the focus on User Experience and the AptosBFT consensus, their own version of Proof of Stake.
Their goal is to make it an easy-to-use, user-oriented chain for Web3, a competitor to Solana in its own right.

The bulk of 'inflation will start in Nov 2023, with the linear release of most insider tokens.
From now to Nov 23 inflation is quite low, but from Nov23 to Nov24 it is practically 100 percent, considering the token unlocks and their releases.
