I figured that would get your attention but it's actually true. There's an old saying in sales, "Stop Selling Once You've Made The Sale"
And that's what I mean here. There are some of us among the community thinking about to grow the platform and get more eyeballs on it.
For content creators, great you're here. We don't have to sell you anything. You love the product and you're probably blown away by what you find here.
But growth is important and I see posts here about marketing and SEO so I'll talk about those things from time to time.
Did You Know That YouTube is the Biggest Suggestion In The World?
Well it is and this is what it means. Youtube monitors your search behaviors and suggests content that they think you might like. It's actually a bigger deal than it seems. Once you start searching, Youtube won't let it end.
And, the content is evergreen. That means that once it's on Youtube it will be seen forever. I have a test youtube account that I started 10 years ago to test marketing strategies. I've never posted a real video of anything. Just junk I needed metrics about.
That test youtube account has over a million views and believe it or not I get a new comment every day about some video I posted a decade ago. I'm not going to go into boring specifics here but Youtube is crucial to marketing LeoFinance.
Guess What. You Barely Have to do Anything!
I mean it would be great if you posted content to Youtube and I can post about how to do it in an efficient way in another post, but at this point don't bother. @khaleelkazi already did 96.475% of the work!
Do I really Have to do What you're about to tell Me? YES
Did you even know that @leofinance had a Youtube account? We Do.
Is it the most important thing we have besides product & community? YES
The Youtube channel is surprisingly good. It could be better, but I'm impressed. We can talk about how to pimp it out for rankings another time. But here some things to do if you want to help @leofinance and protect your investment without doing much work lol.
- Got https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXZAjUMby8yDXBRo4h-6wrQ and subscribe to the channel. We currently have 335 but we won't matter much until we get 1000.
- Once you click subscribe a little bell icon will appear. Click it!!!!!!! That will alert you when any new @leofinance video is posted. That's a big part.
- Next, click the latest video and let it play. Don't like it!
You heard me. Dont like it. Let it play.
The length of viewership is really important so let it play.
Pro Tip (I don't watch LeoFinance's videos)
Wait, what? Yeah, I don't watch them because I have already seen them, but I let them Play! Usually, if I go to the kitchen or take a shower or something. And then I like them at the end.
Liking is important but if you just go to the page, play the video and like it, then bail after 10 seconds it doesn't help us.
So let it run for at least a minute and like it.
- Leave a comment. (But Don't Ask a Question)
Sounds weird, but here's why. For the first month or two of all of us lions supporting our project on youtube we won't get into the youtube suggestion engine that much. It's like rolling down a mountain. We gotta push this thing up the hill a bit.
Leaving comments lets youtube know that we are up to something that it's consumers want to know about and that's good. But if you ask a question that just means we are putting more work on @khaleelkazi . He's going to have to go in and answer your question or we will look we don't engage. Let's leave the guy alone for awhile. He's busy trying to make us rich. Ultimately question and answer will be important.
Notice that I have told you that you need to make youtube videos about Leofinance or any of that stuff. (You Need To) But, that doesn't matter now.
Also notice that I didn't ask you to go around on every platform and write about leofinance and link back to https://leofinance.io/. (You have to) But, that is not doesn't matter now.
Let's focus on spending 1 minute of your time every once in ahwile to help brand LeoFinance.

Great @theatdhe . It's crazy but it's true. If you really sit and think about it the light bulbs will go off.
Once there is some action on the @leofinance account, the videos will start to show up on the side where youtube suggests videos to users.
Also, in your personal suggestions when you log in on the phone.
For example, last week I look up cmaj7 guitar lesson on youtube. Now everytime I log in, youtube is offering me some guitar lessons.
I haven't even touched on how upload and seo the video properly. This is just to get ALL the active members of Leofinance to subscribe and watch the videos on youtube that the channel produces.

Yes pretty crazy stuff!
Their algorithm is pretty nice!
But also it is a bit of a pain in the butt...sometimes it makes us scared about our privacy. I use Brave as a browser because I hate it when I check for something and the see the very same thing sponsored on my Instagram or Fb account. It's good for the metadata to collect as much data as possible and that way you can actually find the things that you like easier but it also very bothering sometimes goes as far as harrasing.

This is one of the best blockchain promotions tips I've seen for any crypto project. Even other Dapps like Splinterlands should take a look at this and apply. One Dapp can feed users to another and the full Hive ecosystem can grow!

It's not important solely to leofinance and the token. It's just a tactic that should be used in branding and marketing for anything. But in crypto Youtube has a huge audience and we are going to break out of our community and filter into theirs.

Yep, youtube tracks how long a video is viewed. people that click on a vid and the immediately leave is bad for the account.

I am subscribed on the Leo Finance YouTube channel and passing by from time to time to leave a like. I didn't know that playing it adds value, so let me do some of that.
Do you know if there are any stats about the videos on YouTube you can see beside the viewers that could show more value on it?

there are apps that exist that show traffic and things like that. I use tubebuddy to get things that are important to me like kewyords and high level states. I havent looked for new ones lately.

That's cool. I only use medium for backlinks to sites when I need them. I'm not a youtuber either but consuming content, liking, commenting after you get an alert that @leofinance dropped a new video is extremely helpful.
People look up everything on youtube. Beyond the type of content that @khaleelkazi is currently doing. I think that members who like to make basic tutorials can be easily loaded to youtube and they will be among the most traffic.
I see the current videos as branding but what people will look on google and youtube are things like How to trade Leo for Eth. That's where the traffic will come from.

that's perfect @rxhector . It's important. Youtube will see that people are interested in @khaleelkazi 's content. Wait until there are 1000 subscribers. That's important in Youtube's eyes.

@scholoris the thing I like about youtube is that you don't need to be a quality creator. They have some decent tools in their studio. There are some tips and tricks to get your video noticed but If I were starting my creator journey it would not be on youtube unless I was doing "how to" or "tutorial" videos. The other reason I would be on youtube "which I am" is to take up space in the google search results.
If I was trying to be a Youtuber to make money I would say those days are over. We make more on hive than most video creators on youtube.

Great advice. Thanks, @cflclosers. I'll use it and others as I tailor the attempt. I have experience with video formatting, presentations, and audio for my IRL engineering job. I need to apply it to outside work now. I've wanted to do this for my STEM-HIVE side for the longest time. There's nothing wrong with starting it as a "journey" video for finances.

Length of viewership is quite important, as youtube use it as a parameter to suggest other that video. It great to see stuff. I am gonna subscribe it.
