So no email isn't going away

True, but use of it definitely seems to be waning. The general public doesn't care about the security stuff we do. Joe public doesn't care about data mining. They just want to be entertained.

they'll care when they get deplatformed or the severs don't work, or they monetise those platforms and it's not a free for all. Besides email is a staple communication medium for business, you're not going to swap that out for IMs, especially with sensitive data, when you run your own server you can keep that stuff in-house and provide more security.
If you're using IMS and a bot net attacks it how many would just click the link? Enough to make it profitable I can tell you that much
Like I said, I use email every single day. I am just writing about what I am seeing. If younger employees are checking their mail every day, they are ignoring about 70% of the total emails that come into their boxes.

E-mail is not going away, no matter how many use it or don't.
E-mail would seem to be a natural match for blockchain, especially if privacy protections were added. There may be blockchain-powered e-mail services, but I haven't found them or investigated them if they exist.
