WHEN DID I LEARN ABOUT NFT
I heard about NFT two months ago when one of my students told me that I should create and sell an NFT art. During that time, I have zero ideas about NFTs. I even do not know what NFT stands for. So, I googled and read about it. According to my quick research, NFT means "Non-Fungible Token" which complicates and confuses me more. I did not understand what really it is and how can I earn from it. So, I dropped the idea of creating or selling an NFT art.
Then, I learned from my friends here in Hive about an application called "CURATE". So, I installed it, made an account, and created a digital art to be minted then hopefully sell. However, I never had successfully minted my digital art in CURATE. I had made a few attempts already but I always fail. So, I stopped and uninstalled the mobile app!
HOW I FOUND NFT SHOWROOM
Another NFT name came across my PeakD Feed and it is NFT Showroom. I just happened to see a Hiver who shared about his first few tokenized NFTs. Furthermore, I also read a post from @ybanezkim26 that he bought an NFT Art. So, I got interested in it again. He also mentioned in his blog that he is convinced that NFT Showroom will become big in the future just like how Splinterlands is right now. These two things made me decide to really try harder to start my journey with NFT.
So, I read posts on how to make an account in NFT Showroom and then made one for myself. After that, I applied as an artist/creator in NFT Showroom and got verified after 24 hours. Then, I converted some of my Hive Token to Swap.Hive so that I can tokenize my first digital artwork in NFT Showroom.
MY 1st NFT: CRUCIFIED MARY
When I already have some swap.hive in my wallet, I decided to tokenize my newly created digital artwork that time. Prior to that, I was really trying hard what to draw or paint that would be interesting and worth buying to other people. So, I came up with an idea of a woman being crucified which is unusual and interesting.
I decided to call this digital piece "Crucified Mary" because obviously, I have drawn a woman crucified on a cross. But the deeper meaning really is that when the children are suffering, the parents, especially the mother, are also suffering. In fact, I imagined my own mother when I painted this on Procreate because my mother has been sacrificing her life for us. Mary is a model mother for all mothers right? So yeah, that is the story behind this painting.
"CRUCIFIED MARY" There is somebody who sacrifices for you. There is somebody who receives the suffering for your sake. There is somebody for you. You are loved and you are not alone.
Unknowingly, the first edition of my digital artwork in NFTSR was sold by @juliakponsford, one of the best artists on NFTSR who has a great collection of NFT arts. I was really happy when I knew that because it means my artworks have value and it can really be sold. I informed immediately my fiancee about this and she was very happy for me.
MY 2nd NFT: TROUBLED YOGA
I was very happy that I was able to sell my first NFT. So, I started working on my second NFT Artwork. I was also busy doing stuff at work, so basically, I needed focus and concentration. However, sometimes there are just external distractions that we cannot avoid. So, that feeling and mood I was feeling that day was my inspiration for this artwork to remind myself and other people that it is normal. It is okay if sometimes we are off the beat, not on the track or get lost for as long as we know how to get back. I really hope I am making sense. 😄
TROUBLED YOGA Sometimes our balance is disturbed and our core shaken. Sometimes concentration and focus do not work. And that is totally fine. You will gain your balance in time and you will be aligned with your purpose. Remember that!
MY 3rd NFT: RED WOMAN
My 3rd and last NFT so far is called the "Red Woman"! Obviously because the painting is done using red and its shades. Yes, I never change the color of the procreate paint brush here but only the value of the color. I do not know why I really love this painting and why I consider this as my top most favorite piece that I made. It is not super perfect, which I really like by the way. Anyways, going back to this painting, I am inviting you to buy this art of only 9 Swap.Hive. This is only available in three editions. I am sure you will love to have this printed then framed and decorated on your office wall, or in the dining or bedroom. When I was a kid, an artist told me that in a painting it is very important to have red in it because red will give life and meaning to youf art. So, maybe if you'll habe this on your wall, you will have a beautiful and interesting wall.
The caption I made for this painting in the NFTSR is just a sudden and random thought when I was tokenizing this art. I am not sure if it is appropriate but, I really liked it..

If I sell another NFT, I will surely tokenized other artwork I have in my gallery, so maybe this three artworks determine my future in NFT Showroom. I will surely keep on tokenizing my art if I know they are seen and notice. Although, I believe that I cannot please everyone with my work, but my fingers are crossed for this endeavour. I am really trying my luck by using this artistic skills and creativity I have in my body. Who knows it can help me with my financial needs. So, why not give it a try?
