Uniswap has started a trend to revolutionize decentralized finance and automated market-making recently, even beating Coinbase in daily trading volume early September. While SushiSwap’s idea is kind of interesting, the project also caused a huge loss in confidence in DeFi projects due to its transparency issue. We assume all of you are somewhat familiar with how Sushi works, but we are convinced that some of us would have done things in a different way.
One major flaw of the SushiSwap project and similar projects is, they don’t really care about community and governance. Incentives for liquidity providers and staking rewards are low and that will not change, due to the undemocratic way the protocol is created.
So, while sushi is seen as food for the elite, Butters is for everyone, right?

ButterSwap is created for the community and its growth will be highly dependent on the community, by default.
ButterSwap emphasizes the concept of a “democratized decentralized exchange”, which means that governance is not optional but mandatory. The users make the rules!
We believe that the majority of the governance models in the DeFi space don’t apply real governance, as these models heavily rely on coders to change the contracts. ButterSwap is the people’s exchange and its parameter are directly determined by the people. Users of ButterSwap can actually vote to change parameters of the exchange, including trading fees, staking rewards, mining speed, etc. And what’s more, users can only get staking rewards if they participate in the voting!

Now let’s dive a bit deeper in the governance highlights of ButterSwap.
Mining rewards (Butter) for liquidity providers is a huge advantage of BUTTERSWAP. Liquidity providers will earn Butter reward along with 80% of trading fees generated on the platform. ButterSwap will use other DEX to swap at the best price, this means ButterSwap ensures the lowest slippage even for a larger volume.
Each new block generates 100 new BUTTER that goes to LP providers and traders. By default, the ration is 95% for LP providers and 5% for traders. This ratio can be changed later by the governance voting system.
To earn trade mining rewards, the user must stake BUTTER at any pool on Butterswap.
By default, anyone can create a new token pool just like Uniswap. This can be changed later by governance voting.

BUTTER will have a limited time presale to raise funds and awareness. Unlike many other DEX, we will only have one token that is BUTTER. At the launch on Uniswap, BUTTER will have 200 ETH locked liquidity from the team and all funds raised from the presale. We expecting to add +500 ETH as BUTTER/ETH liquidity on Uniswap. We are a separate AMM but utilizing Uniswap similar to 1inch to better spread the liquidity and cut down the slippage at the same time. This means our trade will take 1 single order but break it down in more than one trade if necessary to get the best market price. Thank you for your attention.
