Hive Enjoyment & Progress!
I still very much enjoy Hive as I consider it my home on the Internet and I don't intend to stop blogging anytime soon regardless where the price of Hive goes. While many are tourists that come and go depending on the price of hive or eventually give up, I just really enjoy writing and having a blog which helps me on a daily basis.

I did manage over the year to increase my Hive Power from 20k HP to now 28k HP also because I now have been leasing 10k+ Hive for 45 weeks in a row to help me give more relevance and grow. I also didn't do a single power down while I used most of the HDB earned either to pay for the delegation or to expand into Hive-Engine coins or Splinterlands Assets.

2024 Results
In 2024, the price of Hive ranged somewhere between 0.16$ at the bottom and 0.51$ at the peak over the year doing only a +12.69% increase. In a way it's not bad given the fact that Hive remains a reward token that by many continues to be dumped while the inflation went higher than normal. As it's possible to get good returns as an active user and holder this also needs to be added to the number.
Generally it has been a Bitcoin and Selective Memecoin year while many of the older altcoins didn't do that crazy good.
2025 Expectations.
I do expect Hive to remain in a similar situation where it kind of lives outside of the crypto space pumping on days when everything is down followed by a wave of sellers which pushes the price back down while the entire market pumping by no means will mean that Hive will go up.
I feel like Hive has somewhat established itself as a niche platform with a bunch of loyal users and projects like Splinterlands without a realistic outlook for it to become something mainstream with crazy adoption. The reality is that there are just too many fundamental flaws in the entire model to work on a larger sustainable scale. If things pump in 2025 it will likely be because of an excess of money from the crypto bull run that flows in increasing the earnings making it interesting for new people to come in who mainly come from the earnings but will leave equally fast while some of them will stick.
So While it would be nice to see everything going crazy with the price of Hive Reaching the 7$+ range which was the Steem All-Time High, I see this as rather unlikely and not something I would take a bet on. Making a realistic prediction I would say that Hive ranges somewhere between 0.25$ and 1.75$ in 2025

I'm still here for the long-long run and Hive really would need to go crazy before I would consider to power down. So my main plan it to just continue to enjoy the platform and used it for what it was designed similar to how I have done in the past 7 years,
Conclusion
My predictions very much are in the same line that Hive as a niche platform continues to exist while benefiting from the Crypto Bull market without doing anything crazy

I agree with your analysis, although I would say this cycle has also been about Solana and it has 10X from its lows 2 years ago. Earnings are quite good on Hive but the reach does let it down somewhat.

Yeah Solana, but the only real thing happening there are memecoins :-)
Let's hope that the pump of today sustains itself and onboard a ton of new users who are first looking to earn with some of them ending to stay long-term.

I certainly don't rule out things going crazy again at some point as the price pumping feeds on itself and can create a positive spiral. I'm quite sure the push to 0.60$+ today will get more people taking a look at Hive. I'm still waiting for the day for Hive to be mentioned by some of the bigger crypto Influencers which so far hasn't happened as there is nobody paying them to shill.
In the end, I'm pretty happy if Hive just keeps on working properly with the price somewhat staying in a stable range.
Safe and respectable predictions from a 8 year hi we who’s seen it all. I can support that. I’ve been thinking about leasing hive. Has that really boosted your rewards earnings?
If you are active on Hive daily and create good content, leasing extra HP especially if you can do it at a price that is somewhat favorable (I pay 15 Hive each week for 10k extra HP), it pays itself back and some more. You will earn Curation Rewards at 7%-8% and you should be more visible and get more upvotes.
In the end, what Hive comes down to is that either you are on the radar of the curation teams or you make specific content that is part of challenges that have hive power behind them, or you are stuck in an 'upvote4upvote' dynamic.
For that last one, you simply need Hive Power as you won't get noticed without and many (including myself) see that as a quick judgment of commitment. If I see joined in 2022 and only 110 HP it's an instant 'red flag' so to say. In the end, everyone cares about their bag of Hive and rather upvotes users that actively show signs of helping the price stay up. It is one of the big flaws of Hive.
Imo the best way to grow on hive (aside from sucking up to the curators and bending your content toward that) is to lease HP, be social which helps to get some comment updates and re-invest the HBD you earn to lease extra Hive Power and let that ramp up over time.
