Sorare.com Week 27 | Tier 4 Rare Reward! (+5$)

I have highly been enjoying Sorare.com a lot now late into my 3rd year mainly playing in the Rare competitions. Each Week, I'm making an update post on what's happening in the ecosystem and how I'm doing personally.

It was a pretty straightforward week with another Card Reward and some essence from the many lineups that I submitted and overall not too much excitement as it's mainly just a long shot to win something. All this while more and more cards get printed and not enough new players coming in to keep the prices from falling. So rare now really has become the new Limited which itself kind of turned into a mode where it's impossible to win unless you have the top players.

Regular Season Rare Results

A rather modest 365 points did get me a Tier 4 card in the Under 23 rare competition which remains one which is easiest to get something decent when playing exclusively players from Belgian Teams. Promise David who I took off the market also helped me to win it and I should have made him captain.

New Week Limited Lineups!

The Score requirements in Limited nowadays are so high that I don't expect anything whatsoever.

Player Transfers & Reward Card

I won 1 Under 23 Tier 4 rare card of a Player from Genk who is starting on the bench and so far has not left an impression that has been that great. So it's mostly a case of hoping there comes a point where he adjusts and becomes one of the strong starters who gets good scores. Next year, Genk will most likely play in Europe so it's mostly a players for next season. At a 5$ Sale price I'm also willing to just hold on to him mainly because he's a players from a Belgian Top Team.

Season 2024-2025 Owned Collection Value

It's fairly easy to track your personal earnings on the Sobase.Football website. We seem to be at a point again where the rewards don't fully compensate for the drop in card values over time as more get printed and dumped on the market.

I am no longer putting outside funds into Sorare at this point and will track my total account value from here on out weekly. It's been pretty much a race to the bottom as sorare isn't able to come up with dynamics where card prices hold their value.

Conclusion

I'm still having a ton of fun with Sorare and I'm highly looking forward to the coming weekend. If I win something or manage to break even I'm already a happy player. Given the continued inflation, this is a game and not an investment.
