Week 25 Results | 20W-45L-8P | -2.136 Units Profit

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

Week 25 was a highly frustrating one which I would say was mostly due to my own fault as I took rather big losses going against line movements which off course in the end played out in favor of the line move. I really should have learned this by not not to oppose the market unless there is a clear reason to but I guess some kind of boredom of having to keep my stakes low this season combined with the fact that I was again close to break even over the season is what made me fall in this trap. So I'm now back at -2.7 units loss which on it's own isn't that much of a disaster; it's mostly the frustration and realisation that the way I approach things right now, there is simply no room for big stake variations as each time I see something where I believe there is a nice edge, the opposite turns out to be true.

So what works still is very cautiously grinding my way with smaller bets also because on many of them it's simply not possible to take bigger because of the low limits. I'm still determined to make it into a profitable season and I'm sure in a couple days my mindset and sentiment has been reset again as it always does given that despite everything I still very much enjoy the entire process.

However, there is a lot of room for thought and improvement / changes right now. The fact that altcoins continue to dump also isn't really helping. So it's been months now taking the stairs up slowly just to take the elevator down in a couple days. I did have some bets where there was a possibility to hit it quite big but the coins fell on the wrong side.

I did have 2 pre-game highlighted bets which was the Under 1.25 in the Standard match and the 1H Over 1 in Beerschot which ended in 1 Push and 1 loss pushing me down a bit more on the confident bets this season.

Season 2024-2025 Personal Betting Chart

After pushing for the profit for quite some time, things broke down hard as pretty much everything I touched lost this week. And most of it came because I simply was wrong on my view and opted to go against the market while I should have know better. So at least I know it's something I easily can improve upon. So from here I will get back to just grinding out smaller bets with extreme caution never again going against the market big.
