Today is my mom's birthday and I've basically been with her almost all day.
There was no party or other type of celebration, until we made a special lunch for her tomorrow, since my family and I will have more time to spend together.
It's always good to be by our parents' side and I know the importance of celebrating another year of my mother's life together.
That is great that you were able to spend the day with your mom.
I am sure it was special for her as well.

It was really cool, John. Even more so since my father is away at the moment, me being close to her and with my children makes her very happy.
Tomorrow I will have a barbecue lunch to celebrate this birthday today.
