The law imposed by a criminal faction that the courageous Kiko Loureiro defied to record an album
The criminal organization that plotted in São Paulo in 2006 led the city to enact a curfew. This didn't stop guitarist Kiko Loureiro from recording his album "Universo Inverso". He explained the story in an interview with Sem Filtro.
I was driving with greater fear, crossing the city! Remember that period? It was complicated. I recorded the guitars. There's a song that's acoustic guitar and piano and you could hear the click in the background. We decided to call Cuca Teixeira to record some percussion on top. The guy in Japan wanted guitar stuff too, not just guitar."
