What is relegation? I am not sure what you are asking.

For example, a "Serie A" competition where there are 20 teams, the 4 worst in scoring fall (relegation) to Series B while the 4 best from Series B rise to replace the 4 that fell.

Isn't it like that in MLB?

No. The leagues are set and they dont move up or down in competition.

So the division is the same year after year.

I then understood what the format was like. If I'm not mistaken, "soccer" in your country is like that too.

There is no demotion.

I can assume the NFL and NBA are like this too.

I think you are correct. I do not know about soccer but never heard of them having that type of system.

NFL and NBA are certainly like MLB.

It's even strange (for me, of course) when I see how a sport is organized differently than what we have here in Brazil.

But in any case, competitions in the United States are quite interesting and exciting.

Yeah. They set things up differently. Soccer is the only one I know where lower ranked teams move down a league and others can move up.

Here is how the division are and have been that way since, I believe, 1996.

It made me understand better. I didn't know there are 30 teams in the MLB.

I hadn't analyzed this before, as it makes sense since when I go on YouTube there are a lot of their games.

Yes. 30 teams and each plays 162 games in a season.

Then there is the playoffs.

There are each of the 6 division winners plus 3 wild card teams.

I understand, I still haven't gotten used to having so many games in a year. It's a lot hahaha...

Yeah. Well the Mets seem to be doing more losing than winning.
