I know how frustrating this is. Sometimes a team "wakes up a dead man" and lets him beat them.
I hope they recover for the next match.

They are playing now. Winning 1-0 but it is tight.
1-0 is considered a narrow victory, right?
Is it common for draws to occur? Or must there always be a winner?
Yes it is a narrow one.
There is always a winner. If they are tied after 9 innings, they go extra innings. Each team gets an at bat.
I understand, so there are no draws. These extra times are like a match worth a place in the final where only one can qualify.
At least most baseball matches must be very exciting as there can only be one winner
