The main representative of the cryptocurrency Ethereum and at the same time one of its co-founders Vitalik Buterin, after the successful launch of phase 0 of the new generation Ethereum 2.0, published on Twitter an updated roadmap of the completion of this robust blockhain.
The launch of Ethereum 2.0 is divided into several phases. The introductory one marked "phase 0" allows practically only staking ETH coins. However, you must have at least 32 ETH for this, and if you lock them, you will not be able to manipulate them again until the next phases have started
Phase 1, which is closest to the program, introduces the possibility of sharding / data sharing and increases the possibilities of data input without directly affecting the performance of the blockchain itself. Phase 2 will then introduce complete transaction splitting capabilities and allow thousands of transactions to be completed in a second.
According to him, the roadmap now presented by Buterin is "smoother" than the one presented in March 2020 and spoke about the individual phases (1, 1.5, 2…). For example, important milestones in the transition to Ethereum 2.0, such as the launch of proof-of-stake, the introduction of ETH light clients on ETH1, and sharding data were originally grouped into phases 1 and 1.5. However, the updated roadmap separates these three important points and makes them more independent of each other, which means that it is possible to work in parallel on individual pines.
