Over the past 15 years, social networks have become so established in our daily lives that it becomes difficult without them. Who in the class didn't use their messaging app (Messenger or Whatsapp) to text a loved one? Even, who doesn't look at posts on (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Twitter) for a day? Social networking has become an integral part of our experience.

To expand visibility, companies have understood that this vast communication channel must be used at all costs. Furthermore, one criterion for evaluating the authenticity of a crypto project is its presence on the network. Whether the project or its founding members have accounts on social networks. Outside of their pages, Crypto plans to communicate via their social media accounts. Many times, scoops are posted on Twitter, Medium, Telegram and then formalized on their website. Sometimes, rumors spread long before the official cryptocurrency page announces it.

Note: Beware of rumours as some of them may mislead you. We'll tell you which type of rumours to buy later in the article.
Speaking of projects, if we look at investors now, many of them shared screenshots of their winning trades, or their technical or fundamental analysis of cryptocurrencies with high potential. If some people do it for learning purposes, others don't waste their time doing what you see me, or worse, lure the most naive people with fake trading training (beware of scammers).

We won't be the first to tell you there's a lot of gibberish on social media. Out of fear or ignorance, we rarely use this tool when investing, or for some, we use it catastrophically.

Many cryptocurrencies are known and popular because of their communities. As an example, we can cite the famous Shiba Inu community, the SHIB Army, which launched a massive promotional campaign on social networks to encourage investors to buy their favorite items. Unlike Dogecoin, which can count on Elon Musk's troubling tweets to get the stock market up, SHIB relies heavily on its community to blow up the stock market. Therefore, the Shitcoin network becomes very important due to its good performance.

Observers then talked about network effects. According to Investopedia: “A network effect is a phenomenon whereby an increased number of people or participants increases the value of a good or service. The Internet is an example of a network effect. This is what happened with Shiba, the expansion of its community to its progress had a significant impact. Its stock market value has been found to grow in proportion to its subscribers on social networks.

Hello, @cryptopositive

This is @fionasfavourites from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! It would also be awesome if you could do an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better. For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member - Keeping Up With the Buzz – My Introduction to the Hive Community.

Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out – Hive Communities.

Also since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.

Also, as this the hive can be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide is a growing repository of useful – easy to understand – posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.

For now, @lovesniper will follow your account and we are looking forward to seeing your intro post. Also, you are welcome to tag me (@fionasfavourites) and please mention @lovesniper in your intro post in order for us to be notified, so we can consider your post for OCD curation.
