Hi, Leos!!
Yea, I know, I've been gone forever but as some of you are aware, it's hard for me to ignore a good debate about government, their policies, and immoral/illegal enforcement practices. So I thought I'd drop in and make a post again for old-time's sake.
There have been many times in my life when someone has come along speaking about taxes and how much the IRS steals from them personally each year and my response has basically always been the same. "Why do you keep paying them?"
There are various answers to the question above. To start, most taxes are virtually unavoidable if you live in any modern "civilized" society. You pay taxes on pretty much everything, many people even pay what is called a Death Tax because there will always be someone somewhere aiming to siphon some money out of you, even after you're dead.
People pay...
Income taxes.
Sales taxes.
Excise taxes.
Payroll taxes.
Property taxes.
Estate taxes.
Gift taxes.
...just to name a few
Depending on your lifestyle it's highly unlikely that you're getting away with not paying these insanely unrealistic "fees" you "owe" some dickhead in a suit simply because some other dickheads and a series of dickheads before them wrote it all out on paper so that somehow makes it "official" because they now call it "the law".
Sadly. Many people still cling to the idea that if they don't obey the dickheads and give them their hard-earned income they will be locked away in a prison cell. Which in some cases has been known to be true, however, there are plenty of people who get away with it seemingly without any problems at all
According to the dickheads at the IRS, If you do not file your tax returns on time, you are a criminal.
Under the Internal Revenue Code § 7201, any willful attempt to evade taxes can be punished by up to 5 years in prison and $250,000 in fines.
So, basically what that means is, if you don't let the IRS rob you then they will kidnap you and lock you in a rape cage for 5 years, then completely destroy your finances for the foreseeable future because there's no way most people are paying that much money to those dickheads without robbing a bank or something equally as lucrative and risky.
That being the case, a very large percentage of people are living in fear that some dickheads in suits will lock them up, steal their property, and basically ruin their lives. This is a very fair assumption because as the IRS themselves admits, happily, they will fucking kidnap you and steal your shit forever after (granted you survive prison) if you don't play along with their very one-sided sick games.
Since so many people live with this very same fear it has become normalized and most people, especially in the USA, are victims of Stockholm Syndrome as a result of it. This helps to create an environment ripe for groupthink, and I promise you, it's not a good thing.
Now we have a society of people who are scared of their government but hang on to the very unrealistic notion that the government actually cares about them or their best interests. Social psychology studies have proven that time and time again, people will conform to whatever seems to be the norm. Even if they are repulsed by it at their core, they will go along with it like obedient animals simply because it is "what everyone else is doing". And THAT is just plain disturbing. Also known as cognitive dissonance.
Where governments have not yet begun to threaten, they use persuasion. and coercion to extort everyday regular people like myself and the majority of you who might read this.
Does that not make what the government is doing illegal, going by the standards of their own written laws? It sure does. So, why are people still putting up with it? social conditioning.
It's all very unfortunate that tyrants have taken control and people have become a submissive lot of narrow-minded statists. I understand how you're dependent on the system to survive, but at what cost? Is it worth it?
In my lifetime it sure would be nice if I could become a part of an autonomous community of free-thinking individuals who respect the laws of nature and disregard the laws of man.
There are such places in the world today, many of which aren't completely unregulated by governments but are close enough to make it as peaceful a place as most people would ever find. The Slabs in California would be one example, though many people definitely WILL NOT want to be a part of that lifestyle, that is the beauty of the idea, if you want to be there, then do, if not, then leave. Nobody pays anyone taxes to live there, everyone is just free to exist as nature fucking intended.
Thanks for stopping by to read my rant, if you made it this far, thanks to you personally! I hope this message is getting through to someone who needs it right now, there are many of us who just need to know that there are others like us who know that any government itself is inherently evil and should be completely abolished.
Peace, love, pass the lighter.

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency, or using HiveSigner.
Your support would be really appreciated.
Thank you!Dear @crystalhuman, we need your help!
