Going "all in" is a term from poker meaning "My hand is the best and I am putting all my chips into the pot". So what has this got to do with this splinterlands battle? Well, seeing that it is close range where ranged attack can fire from the first position. I picked 5 out of 6 monsters to have a ranged attack. So not quite all in.
This was a high mana cap match of 50, the life splinter is playable I went with General Slone summoner. On High mana battles, I will pick a legendary summoner. I was going for the plus one to ranged attack, hoping the opponent doesn't select Quix
In total, I have 21 points of attack, just from range, plus 2 magic from my tank. now that's a lot of firepower and I showed it in the battle. The 5-point sniper shot from the silver shield Sherif is deadly. It has piercing so armour is no help for the enemy plus he adds protection to my team (You should get one)

How Did the Battle Go
For once my plan went to plan. Is a proper sentence. Everything worked in this battle. My tank Iziar came with 14 health and void, matched to repel the opponent's magic attacks
General Slone is the Summon of choice for close-range
We see a gladiator making an appearance on the battlefield, even though we are playing in the gold league. Looks like the soulbound summoners are being collected and levelled up. Powerful gladiators, such as the power house Captain Katie. Now if she got rolling with bloodlust. I would have been in real trouble.
Another Point that went in my favour was that my tank, had taunt. This was the big difference as it neutralized the snipe ability from captain Katie. Otherwise by round two my backline would have been dropping like flies.
General Reega Slone, was a healer until she found her magic powered up Portal Spinners.

Lessons to Take Away
Sometimes you have to embrace the rule set, and in this case, it was easy. Ranged attack on most splinters is high because as soon as they come to the front it evaporates. but not in these rules. The damage was too much for the opponent to handle, the hits came on hard and fast.
Make sure you don't get too carried away with the plus one to range attack. Put a strong tank in place, supported by at least one healer. You know this is my go-to strategy. Notice that the opponent also put up a very powerful tank. It has lots of amour and self-heal, backed up with armour repair and even a resurrect.
Now Watch the battle and see how fast my range attack melts through all that amour and health points. He barely about survived round one and got a heal and armour repair but no matter fell easy in round two. Very satisfying when a plan comes together.
