I think we are slowly moving closer to breaking out... what we need is a couple more wide awareness, cross platform properties like Splinterlands. The coolest — and most useful, from a Hive building perspective — thing about Splinterlands is that it transcended the closed loop we might call "blockchainiacs" and brought in people who were gamers, first.
Heck, our son (mid-30s) created a Hive account for the sake of Splinterlands... he doesn't give a hoot and a holler about tokens or crypto, he just liked the game.
That's what we need more of, to truly break out, in my opinion.
In many ways, it's still a lot "like the Internet." Right now were at that tipping point where people's perspective is moving from being "IN crypto" (parallel: being ON the Internet) to what you "DO with crypto" (Parallel: What you DO on the Internet).
We're getting closer, and I think Hive has a very bright future! I have no idea where we'll end up in 2023, but I DO believe that in 2028 we'll be thanking our lucky stars that we got involved early, in this gig!
