The crypto space has been a little bit scary since some unbelievable incidents last year since Luna/UST. For myself, I also had some losses from failed protocols with my funds stuck inside but I have put them behind me...
Recently following Cubdefi's latest announcement regarding Kingdoms (see Get out of Kingdoms on Cubfinance! All except CUB one have been terminated from me), I have also some fund there that needs to move out.
It was my Eth in Belt Finance on BSC.
So I withdrew beltETH from discontinued Kingdom on Cubfinance first. It went well, no problem. So I get my 1.44 beltETH from it.
The next step would be to withdraw Eth (on BSC) from beltETH vault on Belt. But somehow I couldn't get it done. The button of 'Withdraw beltETH' cannot trigger to call the metamask... Tried a few times and the issue remained.
I was a bit terrified.
"What happened to belt.fi?" I thought.
TVL of beltfi is still 21M. Not big but seems no sign of malfunction. Googled it and there isn't any news about it within a year or two...
I was getting more nervous. After all, 1.5 Eth isn't little money to me at all. ๐ฅ
....
After a while, suddenly, I thought of something and it proved to be the 'problem'.
My problem. ๐
I did not enter a number to be withdrawn. That was why.
GOSH!! I am sooooooo stupid!!! I made this kind of mistake for many times in the past and I still did today.
Finally after I put in the number, all in this case, the little foxy popped up with tx request.
So lovely to see you! Even a $1.47 tx looks so good!! ๐
After a while, I got my 1.5 ETHs back to my wallet. Phew~~~~ Thank God!
It was scary, but it is also another testament to how decentralization works. You just need to get it right. ๐

I think anyone involved in DeFi had at least one casualty last year... it was a rough ride!
