RE: Our HIVE Mooning from News-Hype for Another 'HIVE' Company as 'Ultimate Meme Stock'

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Whenever there are major price pumps or dumps... the natural tendency is to ask "what was the cause??" This is a hilarious contributing factor to HIVE's overall bullishness over the past three months. Did it really have much to do with our recent price rise? I'm not so sure... I guess it goes back to the concepts of fundamentals vs. technicals and that age-old debate.

I've expected HIVE to hit at least $1 this cycle since last year, so the HIVE Blockchain, Ltd. confusion could just be one of many "events that arise to 'cause' the inevitable."

You know, there is also a different social media app called "Hive" as well as other kinds of confusion that might result in people buying our HIVE without knowing what they're doing. As you said, a turn of fortunate events for our community in any case!

Hive has development, while Steem has nothing going on as far as I can tell. It's junk. Hive has popular and climbing apps like Leo Finance and 3speak. Steem can't even compare. But Steem has a 5 year old name.

It will take, but eventually reality will clash with the fake appearance/unreality. The crypto sphere will come to recognize the value in Hive/HIVE. And they should also come to recognize the over-valued Steem/STEEM.

Agreed, obviously... with the caveat that I don't follow STEEM anymore, it's basically a dead chain to me. So theoretically there could be development going on behind a language barrier of Korean/Chinese or whatever other communities are most active there.

Either way, I don't really care what goes on there at this point. It is unfortunate that STEEM kept the good SEO and other "brand awareness" aspects of being a 5-year-old chain... but they certainly sullied their reputation beyond repair in my eyes with funds theft.

I'm interested to see what will happen in terms of STEEM value long-term, but it's more random curiosity than something that really matters to me now that we have HIVE.

Sort:

Steem will pump this year and then after that its dead.

I would love for that to be the case as I don't see the purpose of the chain. It's always possible remaining holders will develop it in a different direction but I see it as a low possibility to be honest.

Yeah, one of many, apparently Koreans on Upbit is another, bigger reason. Why are they? I don't know :P
