RE: My Crypto Portfolio

I can't believe you don't have any HIVE?! You are in the midst of one of the best blockchains in existence. Top five for sure. Maybe top three. And you don't have any?! Seems like a HUGE wasted opportunity to me. While I too think Bitcoin is the place to be, I think having stakes in some of these low-priced but high quality coins is a MUST. $5k in HIVE could buy you $25k in Bitcoin in a year or two, not counting any of the airdrops you will probably get. While the price of Bitcoin may double or even triple in the same timeframe, I don't think it will come anywhere close to matching the percentage gains you can get in HIVE right now.

Just my opinion.

As for blue-chips, I like LINK. They are fundamental to pretty much everything Ethereum does and are also becoming that way to other chains as well. While it's hard to really quantify how valuable it could be, you can stake it as well and earn passive income. Personally, I think it's a 3-5x from here over the next couple years. Coupled with the staking interest, I really like owning it.

RUNE is also one I like, if for no other reason than Khal knows those guys and really likes the project. As you say, interoperability is going to be key and RUNE seems to have a pretty innovative approach to that.

To each their own. There are many coins out there that I like that I'm not investing into. Personally, I'm not a trader, but more so a HODLER. I'm not trying to pick a coin that will potentially go up so I can get more of the other coin that I initially wanted. I used to do that approach when I first began with crypto. It worked well, but my portfolio has grown to size where I like to keep it safer, in the assets that I like and trust.
