Evergreen Rewards: How Cuban Businesses & You Can Benefit from Evergreen

If you want to make the most of your articles and generate some extra earnings, you should check out what I'm sharing with you below.

A few days ago, I made a post talking about the new rewards system on InLeo (Evergreen Rewards / EGR) and some other stuff discussed in the latest HiveCuba space. You can read the post here and listen to the space here

As a result, my team at Estilo Viajero wanted to learn more. During the meeting, we came up with some great ideas and also discussed other Cuban ventures on the list and how they could benefit from this system.

Why write this post? I'm sure many of the ventures already consider what I'm about to talk about. The real objective of this post is to take ventures as an example but make it applicable to any user so you can adapt it to the content you create.

Why apply for Evergreen Rewards? Whether you're a venture or just a regular user, writing an article takes immense effort (and if you're in Cuba, we know it's double the effort). After all that hard work, your post will only monetize for 7 days, and realistically, only the first 48 hours (when you receive the majority of votes). After that, it's forgotten. Many times, these are great pieces of content that deserve more curation, and sometimes they are timeless content with no expiration date. With EGR, you'll be able to continue promoting your post outside of Hive and receive rewards for the traffic you drive to your post, WITHOUT AN EXPIRATION DATE

If you want to create timeless content and need some ideas, this post is for you. Get comfortable, grab a drink, play your favorite playlist, and let's get started... (this article might be a bit lengthy)

DISCLAIMER: This article is not intended to impose or criticize the mentioned businesses. On the contrary, it is an educational article aimed at generating ideas, opinions, and interactions that allow ventures and users to grow and elevate their content. Cuban ventures were taken as an example because it's my country, but you can adapt it to your own reality wherever you're reading this. And by the way, I'm promoting businesses that bring vibrancy to the ecosystem in Cuba.

HiveRemesas / Canje

Undoubtedly, these are the most widely used services.

For these businesses, I believe that providing guides and tutorials, both for the use of their services and for using other platforms necessary for monetization, as well as everything related to security on Hive, is the way to go for them.

In the case of HiveRemesas, they already have some guides and tutorials, and by updating them (to a 2024 version) and occasionally promoting them on Web2, they can continuously receive traffic due to the value they provide to the community.

La Flor de Zapata

Restaurant located in Havana (They make delicious piña coladas). It's one of the businesses that could benefit greatly from this system. The foodie sector has great scalability. On Hive, we see that anything related to food receives good curation, and outside of Hive, there are always people waiting to discover new places to eat.

Some of the topics they could develop are: the preparation of the recipes from their menu (this is content that everyone loves). The stories behind many of their dishes (from croquettes to pizza or piña colada), almost everything we put in our mouths has an incredible story or was born from a kitchen accident.

They could also take it from a more Cuban perspective and target a more international audience with this (How to make authentic Cuban Piña Coladas?). Here, I introduce another interesting topic: mixology, where the same formula mentioned before could be applied. A unique content that generates trust, for example, is telling the stories of the unseen protagonists (chefs, waitstaff, and even support staff). Another example would be narrating the journey of a product, from the farm to the customer's table. There's a lot to create, and when combined with artificial intelligence, the brainstorming could be endless, leading to earnings from EGR.

It's one of the businesses that has a lot of content to create and scale on Hive. Personally, it's one that I would love to see, and I hope they read this and get inspired.

Netlyn

The streaming girls. Another business with endless possibilities to leverage EGR. They have a wide catalog of streaming platforms and associated services, allowing them to create a vast range of content and gradually scale it.

They can opt to develop a schedule of fixed and variable articles. They could create articles ranging from monthly premieres (on each platform they offer) to the most anticipated ones by critics or the team itself. Another option would be to individualize it by genre (here, the possibilities are many, and Bing or Copilot can be great allies to generate even more ideas). And we haven't even talked about the music platforms or VPN services they offer, where they can highlight their offerings and target a wider audience outside of Hive. The advantage of these girls is that their business is digital, and they can reach a broader audience, unlike La Flor de Zapata or Estilo Viajero, which are Havana-based.

As a user who consumes a large amount of audiovisual content, I would like to see more from this business. The content they specialize in receives good curation within Hive, and outside, it is sought after by many people. With this new system, their business can reach even greater heights.

Hallgraph

A design-based business. They're really talented.

(A few days ago, they revealed some plans they have in the works). It's true that they're not very active here, but they have a large following on X. If they document the step-by-step process of some of their projects, from Inleo to the final realization, and promote it on their social media, they will surely receive continuous traffic.

I follow their social media accounts, and honestly, I would love to see more of them on Hive. I love their work, how they carry their brand, and everything they represent. I hope this new system encourages them to create content on Hive and generate even more profit from it.

Bagú

The biggest of all the businesses that have an account on Hive.

I'm not sure if they accept $HBD, but they do have an account here (so they could apply for EGR).

They specialize in the commercialization of spices (at very affordable prices and with high quality), and in their free time on X, they give Community Manager classes. It's one of the best ventures in Cuba at the moment.

Why do I include them on the list? Because I know they have plans to provide their customers with recipes using their products. What better way to create other recipes (besides the exclusive ones) using Inleo and promote them on their Web2 social media? Another example would be to bring the farming experience to their readers by creating articles that illustrate the entire process from planting to packaging the product (Cubans are curious people, whether they are customers or not, I'm sure they will read it).

They already have guaranteed traffic; they just need to create the content.

Estilo Viajero

My team is preparing an article about the ideas we have for applying to Evergreen Rewards, that's why we haven't talked about them here. But we are also great beneficiaries of this. In short, what we want to do is create travel threads of the destinations we visit, like a thread with the must-do activities in a specific place, and then create a longer article focused on our offerings and the destination.

Our problem lies in our weakness as a brand on Web2. We are aware that we need to work much harder to create a strong presence on Web2.

Why should my business apply for EGR? First of all, as a brand, you should write more because it has been proven that brands with a blog generate more trust among future users.

In the case of EGR, with the rewards generated, you can reward people who interact with you on Hive and generate much more engagement. You can create dynamics, promote yourself within the community, and give out the generated $LEO as prizes. You can exchange what you earn for Hive, power it up, and delegate it to the Hive Cuba community to continue supporting the Cuban project. You can reward creators who generate content about your brand. You can create a cashback system: when someone purchases your service, you can send them some $LEO or portions of it as a reward (similar to Letyshop). Or you can simply accumulate them and monetize them into CUP or MLC (or your local currency if you're reading this outside of Cuba) and repeat everything I mentioned above, but on a more local scale. The opportunities are many.

If you have any other ideas, please leave them in the comments, and let's continue expanding the list together.

There may be other businesses missing. If you are part of one and want to exchange ideas, please leave a comment.

At this point, if you're a regular user, you may have already gained more than one idea for your content. It is extremely important to remember that you should publish in your favorite community, but from InLeo (always try to create a thread for the article, you can read this article that will help you with that). Additionally, it is advisable to start learning a bit about SEO and develop your personal brand on Web2.

This advice also applies to me, as I have neglected my presence on Web2.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself; you don't have to write all your articles from InLeo. For Cubans, this frontend can be a bit of a headache due to the connection. That's why you should start gradually with content that you believe will appeal to an audience outside the Hive communities. (You can ask Chat GPT for help with this.)

I believe Evergreen Rewards will bring new opportunities for work and growth to the entire ecosystem. As an entrepreneur, we sometimes don't have the time to sit down and write quality articles, which forces us to delegate that task to others. This reality will allow Hive businesses and some Hivers to come together to generate content, creating new opportunities for both Hivers and entrepreneurs. If this catches your attention, be proactive and approach a business, offering to manage their blog in exchange for some benefits or a salary (you'll see that you might be pleasantly surprised).

What do you think of these ideas? How would you adapt them to your content?

If you can't think of any ideas, don't worry. Leave a comment stating the type of content you often create on Hive, and perhaps I can help you with some ideas. Feel free to comment on anything you like. I would love to hear your opinion on the topics discussed in this article.

The images are not owned by me; they were taken from the profiles of the businesses on Hive and X, where you can find them with the names provided here.

I love this, and we as Hivians if we want Hive to grow, need to get onto Web2 and promote Hive, Inleo or what ever else connected to Hive!

I agree with what you're saying, my friend. Promotion in web2 is a pillar that we still need to fully explore. However, I believe that InLeo's campaigns are changing the mindset of many

Now, I'm curious: is there an explanation for why some people say Hivians and others say Hivers,or have we just not been able to agree?

Thank for passing and commenting my friend 😁🙏🏻

First of all, thank you so much for featuring us in your article!

We are taking note of all the recommendations you make; our growth has always been based on listening to our community, so this time will be no different...💚

The pleasure is all mine, respect and admiration for the work you do.

It would be a great pleasure to see you around here more often.

If you need help, I'm sure that the entire HiveCuba community, Manu, Crptogeek, and even I, can help with whatever you need. We need everyone to grow as community 💚

The possibility of receiving rewards beyond 7 days is undoubtedly a good reason to give a twist to our blog and start thinking about evergreen content.

That content that is constantly consulted will have great success in the future thanks to this new feature.

I believe that every content creator should create a section dedicated to this on their blog.

The niches and communities are already established. This system is a perfect fit; it will be interesting to see how content creators and brands (especially in our country), can adapt their content to this system.

Will we see Hiveremesas in the #evergreen Revolution?

I think I need a secretary to attend HiveRemesas, my friend... 😂. In fact, I need 2 secretaries 😂😂.

Now it's called a virtual assistant 😂, I was reading about that the other day, and yes, that's what you need, oh, and a good CM

Un buen CM no es barato, pero uno malo puede salirme más caro.

Thank you for guiding us, for explaining, and for your patience 😂.

We've taken note of everything and are working based on it, but you know, there's still a lot to bother you about 😂
