Have the biggest curators noticed you yet?

Are You Overlooked.jpg

This isn't rocket science 🚀👨‍🔬🧪

If you are posting content on Hive, then you most likely are anticipating receiving some rewards for your efforts. That's something that could totally happen, but it is not guaranteed. If the right people do not see your work, you are less likely to be the recipient of many rewards. This means that making sure you are discovered is nearly as important as the content itself.

There are many different communities that have dedicated curators who will always be doing their best to make sure that the best content is rewarded. It is difficult to determine what is the best. It is even more tough to sift through the vast numbers of posts without sometimes missing a few gems.

You can check http://hivebuzz.me/ranking and sort by the HP Effective column to see which accounts have the highest Hive Power. I'll provide you with the Top 25 curation accounts on Hive, but there are plenty more people with high amounts of HP in their accounts.

ranking.jpg

The first thing you may think to do is comment on one of these accounts' most recent posts and beg for votes. In my opinion, that is not a good idea. Taking the time to interact with these people's content in a more traditional way is a solid option, but not all of these accounts make posts of their own. In fact, the majority of them exist solely to curate.

There are instances where you could get muted by one of these accounts and they will never see your work again. This happened to me once years ago when @ranchorelaxo randomly muted me at some point. I have no idea why and I'm not worried about finding out the reason since that is one account of hundreds that can divvy out some nice rewards. There is no reason to pause to dwell on a specific curator when another one could discover you that same day.

fan.jpg

If not begging, then how will you get the attention of these accounts? There is no single answer to that question, but there are many different things that you can do in unison that may increase the odds of it happening to you. Each account goes about its curation in a different way.

Some incubate specific communities, others select their favorite and simply stick with them only, or a few may just reward their close friends. One of the most recent options https://veews.io/ is a great way to get discovered as well, but it is hard to control being shown on there. If you tag your content properly that is a good way to make sure you are included in the group of posts that are presented, but there still is no guarantee.

I will provide you with a few guidelines to follow which will help to increase your ability to get noticed and then maybe receive some better rewards for your work.

There are several strategies you can use to stand out and get noticed when there are a lot of people trying to do the same thing as you. Here are a few ideas:

1. Focus on developing a unique personal brand and style.

This could be through the way you present yourself online, the content you create, or the way you approach your work. If you are looking for somebody to design an awesome logo for you, I highly recommend @baptisttadg, that is who created mine.

branding.jpg

2. Build a strong network of connections and relationships.

This could include connecting with other professionals in your field, collaborating with other creators, or getting involved in relevant online communities and groups. Just because you create content does not mean you should forget to curate content as well. The more people that you take the time to show some love to, the more chances you have of somebody noticing your account for the first time. Who knows, maybe one of your new friends will introduce you to a big curator.

connections.jpg

3. Create high-quality, valuable content.

This could be through blogging, creating videos, or sharing any of your other work. By consistently producing content that resonates with your target audience, you can build a loyal following and increase your visibility. You are far less likely to be rewarded if what you create is nothing more than junk. Put some effort in and please don't steal the work of others. Plagiarism is a quick way to get blacklisted.

quality.jpg

4. Leverage SEO (search engine optimization) to make it easier for people to find your content online.

This could include optimizing your website or social media profiles for relevant keywords, using tags and hashtags, and building backlinks to your content. This is very important to show up on google search results. It can also come in handy here on Hive since some users explore tags for specific topics that they enjoy. You can learn more about how to optimize your SEO by searching for articles about it over on https://leofinance.io/.

5. Consider partnering with other companies or organizations to promote your work.

This could involve sponsored content, joint promotions, or other types of collaborations. There are frequent contests that you can enter here on Hive, so be sure to stay active in your favorite communities so that you do not miss out on any opportunities. Discord groups can also be a good place to stay up to date on what all you can get involved with.

Don't be afraid to ask questions 🗣️

By implementing these strategies and continually working to improve and grow, you can increase your chances of getting noticed in a crowded field. Don't give up after the first week, keep at it, and eventually, you will find your efforts will pay off.

If you see someone else having success, ask them how they managed to get where they are. Most of the time people will be proud of what they have achieved and more than happy to try their best to assist you to do something similar.

I hope that the information that I've provided you today will assist you on your journey. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask them in the comments below. There is no question that isn't worth asking. If you are curious, find out the answer.

Thanks for the article, helping me understand the curators. I try to work well so that a curator sees my work. Similarly, if you write a detailed article on how to get sponsorship, it will help to understand a little.
But there are many who regularly get voted by some big curators, whether it's good content or not.

It's still not possible to read the minds of curators and know exactly what we need to do to receive some love. I think doing as many positive things as you can with your content is the best solution until the mind-reading begins.

there are many who regularly get voted by some big curators, whether it's good content or not.

Yeah, I've seen some of that 😊
Can't say what the criteria is, but we can't let it get to us I guess. Just focus on being here and providing value to the community.

😊😉😎🤙🙏 some good advice.. for me, I found that making friends (as in engage with other hivers through comments/curating) is key to getting those same people to check out ur posts.. i mean, how can u expect other hivers to see your posts if u never even introduce urself to them? reciprocation anyone? :P

I also have resigned myself to NEVER getting upvoted (and hopefully NEVER downvoted) by the 'big' curators/whales.. I am happy to let them spread the upvote luv to those new hivers and best post makers, which I certainly am NOT.

I know that when people are friendly to me I want to do the same for them. It's not about vote trading either, it's simple a transfer of energy to and from one another.

You have such a great attitude bro! Happy you are around.

💪😉🤙 just following the lead of my hive idols. :)

Hive FRIENDS 🤝

I think point number 2 is one of the most important! We all need to spend a lot of time out there engaging with people and less time writing posts I think. Writing a good post is important but if you are spending 3-4 hours writing a post but 1-2 minutes leaving comments on other peoples content then the chances of you getting seen or noticed are not incredibly good I think.

All good tips here though man! It’s crazy that mark is up to 1.3 million HP himself lol I knew his build a whale account was strong but had no idea he grew that much on his main account. Cool stuff!

This is exactly why I don't force myself to do more than one post a day. If I did, then I'm pretty sure I'd spend far less time commenting and curating. I still feel like I don't get to do that enough.

And yea, that guy is loaded up with all the Hive a man could ever need. Even at these prices, I could easily live off of those curation rewards alone. One day.

I find these useful (for my purposes) only if it's to find a few new people. There's less posting and I would rather spread my vote a little further.

New people always seem to show up to these types of post. Scouring the comments for dedicated creators is a great way to discover new ones.

This is very relevant to me as a newbie because personally I have been asking myself this same question because I know that there are always many quality content to be curated, but from this post I have seen areas to do more especially on quality and consistency thank you so much I appreciate this.

Although you are new, you will eventually find success with what you do here I am sure. Keep at it!

Thank you so much, I will surely keep at it and will find success.

I will surely keep at it and even look for more ways to improve especially in my quality of creating contents.

I am old user of Steem and now working on hive. I have been working on the system since 2018. This team used to have a project called Steem Hunt. I put my original contact daily. So far no one curators has noticed me. I will continue to put out my original country in all honesty. From tomorrow I will be sharing the beauty of Pakistan and issues of Pakistan with Hive community through my blog.

I remember Steem Hunt, it's been so long. Try sharing your photos on https://www.liketu.com/ if you haven't already. They usually seem to do a good job of curating many users.

Thanks for this great suggestion man. I will use it soon.

This brings light on how to attract big curators. The tips and guides are very helpful. Thanks for this informative post. 😊

How to MAYBE attract big curators. I wish I had a guaranteed formula, but the best we can do is keep trying until things go well.

Interesting topic. In the past I would quite often get votes from OCDB. Those were the good days but that has not happened in a long time. Sometimes I get a vote from neoxian or tarazkp. That is nice. Also I recently gained a follower with fairly big voting power(around 0.54). Having a few more followers like that would be great...

I used to as well, but I think I outgrew them which I totally understand. There are plenty of new accounts with little to no HP that deserve some love.

I dealt with it wholesomely well. Thanks for the update. Inasmuch we all want to be noticed to an extent, it's of important that the necessary and better steps to that should be followed and you have outlined it very well. Kudos bro

Thanks for the tips Daltono. I find this one to be my favorite:

Create high-quality, valuable content

I've found that if your content is thoughtfull, well written and Organized, it's more likely to connect with your audience and drive engagement and upvotes, heck, it might even get you some new followers from time to time.

Been a busy weekend for me, but thanks so much for not only enjoying the content but also just for being an awesome dude. We have so many amazing and kind people on Hive and you are certainly one of them.

Thanks for doing this, with newbies being the main winners with the content posted. My start here hasn't been "glorious" in rewards terms, but I will not surrender myself. I even like to write long-form, and doing this demands great effort every time we engage, but I'm going to come with something in a better level next time.
I have tried some actions suggested here and will persist on that way. It is really frustrating sometimes, but since the first time we land here we are advised that Hive isn't easy.
Maybe I'm struggling with finding the right tags or the better community (albeit I will not retire my confidence in Deep Dives as the best community for my content just for one "defeat"), but I also see that discussing news and politics doesn't have much attention from most recognized "whales" at Hive, those than support different kinds of topics and formats.
Thanks again and best regards.

Fight through the feeling of frustration to remain consistent with what you do. Switching up how you go about posting every so often is a good way to see if a new method of creation equals more curation.

Thanks for your support. And yes, I have thought about if my way of writing doesn't fit in the Hive universe. I took a different approach one post back from the latest. I will keep upgrading, and I firmly believe the results will arise, and to stay. Best regards and thanks again.

This post is really interesting, it gave me a lot of food for thought.
Thank you because some things really I was not evaluating.

I follow you on Twitter and Youtube and I took the liberty of asking you for friendship on Discord, I'd like to ask you some questions when you have some time and if you like of course.

Thank you so much for sharing, Hugs!

There is a lot to take into consideration when it comes to getting curated.

Thanks for all of that! I accepted and will be sure to message back.

I have not published for almost 2 years due to time issues, I only try to comment and vote for when I have support again. Also, I did receive many good votes but many years have passed since that

Commenting and voting are two of the most important things to do, so I think you are still doing great even if you don't have as much time to commit as you'd like.

excellent advises , and the links you provided were really useful for me man, thanks!

Always happy to see another person benefit from a blog like this.

My contents had been upvotes by the powerful curators sometimes, but I often wonder why not all the time! Haha!

I can say it’s not always the post that I spent the most effort on that gets curated. Occasionally a 10 minute quite note gets crazily upvoted.

Most of what results in the impact is due to the curator having a huge following of copy voters. Sadly most would never had read my post themselves too.

Not complaining about these votes but I do think most of it are uncontrollable once we put in a decent post.

You are right about having fun. I wrote about that recently too. !PIZZA

My guess to the answer of why not all the time is that they have a lot of people on their feed and wish to spread the votes. That's what I like to think at least. Or for instance, when I posted about the World Cup for a month, I got very few votes. I guess maybe the curators hate soccer, everyone has their own particular interests.

I was also mutated by ocdb a couple of years ago, unfortunately it can happen to make a mistake but it doesn't matter. However, the pleasure of writing and publishing posts goes far beyond all this, but the community is large and there are many other curators who continue to support us from time to time ☺️

@tipu curate

Lose one curator and you will most likely have another one find you eventually to replace that loss. The more consistently you pop up on feeds, the better your chances. As long as you're having fun, that is the most important part.

I can assure you, you are not mutated.

ah okay, glad to know. I haven't received a vote by ocdb for two years, although I think I have written very good posts. For this reason I was certain that I had been muted. Thanks for your reply, appreciate it.

The most common reason is that you may be doing too well for us to upvote your content, although it's relative with prices and these markets, of course, and there are some outliers that we try to hammer down and remind curators that they're out of our scope, etc. But yeah, usually the best way to overcome that is to target communities we focus on and go a bit beyond your effort in content so we'd still want to upvote it even if you generally receive okay upvotes.

thank you for your feedback. It's such a relief for me to know that I'm not on some blacklist. Vote or not vote, it doesn't matter much to me. What really matters is being here sharing a beautiful journey called Hive ☺️

Thanks so much for your support on my post... I'm grateful

Good advice, it takes a lot of work....

Amazing Peace of Advices I see there! Much appreciate for posting this. It is really Good to see well experience thoughts and ideas for newbies to thrive in this journey. I will surely follow these advice.

I'm pleased to know this post is of importance to you. I appreciate you reading!

The truth is that very rarely, perhaps less than 5 times, have I been able to receive the votes in favor of the great curators here at #Hive, but for now that doesn't worry me much since the first thing for me is to gradually build my name and I know that surely so much work will be rewarded

Just keep doing what you're doing and more will come. You do a great job of commenting on other people's posts. That I think is the best way to get attention from the curators.

yes he also created it also I always try to do my best with my posts

Hey man, when I first discovered this kind of content, it was like a gem for me. I've read similar content before, but I didn't understand it because it was too technical. Meeting your content helped me understand Hive and improve my content. Thanks to you, I am now making great progress in building my account. You are so right about what you said. How good the content is is as important as how it looks from the outside. A catchy headline and cover photo are important. You're also right about the brand. I'm using the logo that my friend @whangster79 created for me and I will always be grateful to him for that.

I also remember how helpful and kind he was to me in the beginning and I will never forget that. Thank you man.

You mentioning how important a cover photo is just inspired me to create a post all about that. Give me a few days and it’ll be up.

You will never forget the people who made an impact on you early. I know I won’t either.

Looking forward to it man! Cover photos are really important for posts. It should be presentable.

This is really an interesting article.. @daltono Thank you for sharing your ideas and giving us tips and guide on how to be better☺️

I'm happy to know you and others enjoy this type of content. I will stay committed to sharing more of my work like this.

Thanks for a lot of tips and advice! I experienced being curated multiple times but mostly not HAHA, but its my fault though cause I dont often interact with people. Thats why in the next few weeks I will really try my best!

It’s definitely now as consistent as a regular income. It certainly is nice when you get those bigger votes though. Interacting with others is the best way to get noticed in my opinion. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you foe this article. Very helpful

Socializing with others in the blockchain and creating good contents without relenting will definitely attract something good someday though it might be challenging when the results are not coming but will be worth it soon.

We must be relentless!

Yes, I am totally bothered by your point. There are many people here who don't share their own contact. Now I am thinking that I can tell everyone here about my country. I will promote the beauty of my country and the old culture of the place.

Sharing the place you live is a great way to create. I highly recommend posting your photography to https://www.liketu.com/ if you haven't tried it out already. It's a great Hive-based application.
