Let’s take a look at the 3Speak data before the end of the year.
There were a few announcements from the team in the last month and the SPEAK network. The SPK network is different from the 3Speak app, that in theory should be just one app that will be using the SPK network. The network aims to be a backend for storing, compiling and delivering videos.

In the scenario above, when all the parts of the SPK network will be live and working the current 3Speak app should be only one app that is using the network and running on top of the system. Multiple video apps can tap into the network and get infrastructure.
Here we will take a look at the activity on the platform, the overall number of posts and comments, and the number of users. The top content creators for December 2022 will be presented as well.
The period that we will be looking at is 2022.
Activity on 3Speak
First let us see the number of posts, or to be more exact videos coming from the platform.
Here is the chart.
There is a general downtrend in the number of daily posts coming from 3Speak in 2022. This is corelation with the overall crypto market and the HIVE price.
The year started with around 250 video uploads per day and now we are in the range of 100 to 150 videos per day.

The monthly chart is following the trend as for the daily chart.
2022 started with almost 7k posts, and November is around 4k posts.
3Speak Authors
How is 3Speak doing with the number of authors on the platform?
Here is a chart on the number of monthly authors that posted on the 3Speak platform.
In terms of MAUs there seems to be more stability, especially in the last months. The sharper drop happened in the first half of the year. In the last months the number of MAUs is between 1000 to 1200.
Next the number of unique authors that posted on the 3Speak platform. These are authors that posted directly through 3Speak frontend.
The number of unique 3Speak authors is showing continuous growth.
More than 11k unique authors have used 3Speak to post, adding around 4500 new unique authors in the year.
Authors That Posted the Most
Here is the rank of the authors that posted/uploaded the most in April 2022 on 3Speak.
@criptomonedastv on the top with more than 70 videos. @joetunex is on the second spot.
Some users are dropping quite a lot of videos but I imagen this will change once a gas token is introduced and posting will not be 100% free. Some platforms might choose to support creators and pay the gas for them, but more filtering will happen then.
3Speak Votes
3Speak supports its content creators with votes from their official @threespeak account. It has around 1.5 million HP. A lot of the times @theycallmedan also joins the party and vote on 3Speak content.
Here we will be looking into the number of votes from the official @threespeak account.
Here is the chart.
There is an overall uptrend in the numbers of votes coming from 3Speak. Although we can see some drops in the summer, and now again. In the last period there is on average 50 votes.
Nice job from 3Speak supporting the content creators and distributing rewards.
The Most Supported 3Speak Authors in December 2022
Below is a table for top authors who have received support from 3Speak in form of votes in December 2022.
The ranking is made by the cumulative vote weight that authors received from @threespeak, meaning one vote at 100% is better than 3 votes at 20%.

@dalz thanks for the over views, as far as numbers of users and post concerns , they are decreasing , but the good thing is stability of users have increased, and in my point of view it's a good thing. My best wishes are with 3speak teams. I hope they will do good in 2023.
4.5k new 3Speak authors are great for the platform though activities have dropped generally, am sure those influenced by market conditions will be back when the bulls arrive.
Nice that am the top 2 of the authors that uploaded the most. 🙂

I have a feeling that this dapp will do great in the upcoming year. Their frond end is easy to use and easy to understand. Stats can change easily with the right marketing strategy.
Ups and downs are the part of life, but the main thing is consistency. Every single person connected with crypto is waiting for bull cycle and it will come seen. This project is very attractive and have potential. Wishing you very good luck for that.

I will have to check out 3Speak again. Previously when I used it and had issues and wasn't sure if I needed to pay into it to be able to upload properly.
I usually use DTube to put my YouTube videos up on HIVE, Steem, and Blurt.
The downtrend is because of less votes, not sure what would be the reason though
