We sometimes get inspiration from stories. One that picks my mind is that of Rebekah in the bible. I learnt so many things from this experience. Running down the story, it is about a servant who was in search of a wife to give to his master's son. He saddled ten donkeys to a far away land as was directed by his master in search of a wife. On reaching he met this virgin Rebekah who was returning from the stream with a jar of water. On asking her for a drink, she lowered her jar for the man to drink and even promised to fetch for ALL his donkeys. She never knew what was coming, she got an instant marriage proposal after such selfless attitude and that changed her life.
How lucrative are you? Yes I know you may not have much cash, yet being lucrative doesn't stop here. Many chose to live a parasitic life and it has always been a taboo if you are to ask me. Do you even know the rich also accept gifts? Learn from here. The entire question here is what can you offer? Life is more of a barter system and until you learn to get this right, you are running the wrong lane. How often have I seen my little effort to offer help draw me closer to a bigger table. If you need help, you also have to prove you are worth being helped. I am imagining how a lady like Rebekah chose to give that stranger so much attention. Do you know what it means to quench the thirst of a camel not to even talk about ten of it?

Many of us miss first time opportunity because all we plan is to take with nothing in return. Let's take for instance, my traveling experience yesterday. If you read my previous article; we go again, you should know about my travel experience. To shorten the matter, I was heading into an unfamiliar territory in search of quality materials to use for our company order. It was an interstate travel and I was linked up with someone. It took some time before I finally located him. He was meant to take me around the market to buy this materials and this I knew was going to eat into his personal business time. On reaching he took me to where he normally does his side hustle and told me to wait for him to wrap up things.
I was a little tired so he helped me order breakfast. When I was done, my next move was surprising to him. I was interested in helping out. Even his friends were a little surprised because I guess my dressing was too decent for them. I keep on telling my friends, I am also a street hustler, just that I try to package my hustle with standards. Maybe he thought I was joking at first until I kept pressing and pressing and he gave me something to do. He was selecting and cutting some clothes for rebranding. I had to let him know I am also into the clothing business.

Working together made the work fast and enjoyable, we were competing without any formal announcement. Time was saved in the process and soon we were out for product sourcing. His interest for me increased because I appeared very flexible. He took me to the best places and never mind how long I was staying at every shop. He said he is here for mr as long as I have the energy to source. The walk was stressful no doubt but very enjoyable as I got to see new places. Can you see how the whole story played out?.
What would have happened if I played an 'I don't care?', I feel the relationship would have had lots of leakages. I have learnt a lot in business and in life as I continue to age. Everyone and I mean everyone needs help. Quote me right, this is why this TOP rich guys employ, they know they can't handle an entire system alone. So we can say a job is a help in return for help. It expands into different areas of life. As a wife, how lucrative are you to your husband? I don't want to jump much into relationship but one of the reasons why many fail is because it has always been a one sided activity. This is why some men don't take women seriously when they find out they have to pay all the bills.
To conclude, let me add, we need to train ourselves to become a mutualist in every situation. I know you may not be able to offer an equivalent price for it. Nevertheless, proving you are worth sticking around with helps you in going a long way. The challenge of humans is self-centeredness and not just the rich alone do this, the poor and middle class do also. In short, the rich are always looking for those they can rob minds with and move on. I always tell my friends, if you don't have the money, have the brain. If you don't know how to create a job, know how to work it. Always find a way and position yourself and let people that get close to you know that there is always something to offer.
