Too outdated to shine

Do I still need to write much? The topic is already self explanatory. So it seems, it's an article, let's make it look like one. I have been following up my article as a series for some time now, although I do introduce other topics in between you'll mostly discover that I am focused more of entrepreneurial life with topics that capture the needed impacts.

Four days ago, I wrote on the title, 'are you contractable?'. On the ending part of that article, I did talk about how to remedy the situation which led to the next topic, 'incorporation switch tactics'. I find this to be a good opt to option to salvage any inconvenience business situation. In the midst of that article, I did drop another big point there;

Another thing to consider too is that most times it is not even what we do that has expired but how we do it is outdated. Maybe a topic for another day.

Today seems to be that day, the idea is the fact that we most times may feel we are stuck in an expired business without knowing that we as the entrepreneur is the expired product. I could remember when growing up, there was what we used to call 'ice water'. It was a form of drinkable water that was sold by water vendors. It was processes using the everyday white cellophane bags in which was accessed by everyone in the market.

Looking wide into this old practice, rumors of the water not being well treated and handled overtime spread, reaching to the fact that it was no longer good for drinking. There is no doubt that someone can just purchase these bags and decide to pour in water from his backyard. What was the solution? There was an introduction of what we call 'sachet water' over here. These ones had brand names and were well sealed in customized sachets. To some extent, it could retain customer trust.

So what now happens to the water business? Of course business is still ongoing only for those who have migrated to the next phase of demand. Anyone still staying in the former will be waiting maybe for only occasional demands which are used as ice blocks currently to cool drinks. The other will still be selling ice blocks and drinkable sachet water. One can see that the margin is wide. One is likely to go out of business at any time.

So many business operators within our environment are outdated. This is one reason I keep exploring to know trends and apply it to my business. I could remember how staying local when starting my laundry business was. I was discouraged by my trainer that there was no much need for equipment. Ahh!! Why say so, it really did affect me, working was very difficult and delivery was not up to standard until I started exploring.

How do you plan to meet up with your assumed competitors and even beat them in the near future when you don't have steeze. Hahahaha, someone just told me about this 'steeze', I don't really know if it is actually an English word. That aside, heading back to the pending facts we can see a loophole that limits business growth from here. As I will always say, there are many dots to connect and make business worth it in the long run.

To conclude, let me add, the question of 'are you outdated?' is very important to ask. Sometimes you are not in a bad market but rather you are making the market bad for yourself. Upgrading is part of business, we are seeing evolution in every industry meaning those who fall behind will in the process be left behind. Do well to connect your DOT in the broad world of entrepreneurship, it's always ALL about the long run result. Invest in innovations, capture ideas that move the market and apply them.
