It does really matter how long you have stayed in the Hive ecosystem, there is always something to learn. One of the ways to learn easily here is to love reading and commenting. There is always knowledge to spare for those who are interested over here. I could remember someone on this platform being a little surprise I wasn't up to date with something he expected I should have been since I have sticked around for a while now.
Truth be told, I am still looking for guides and diirections so I do not miss the way in this big ocean. There is much one stands to benefit in the hive platform yet without proper knowledge one will miss out. A mindset shift can be ALL you need to create wealth. It was something I was encouraged by an old timer on this platform to take advantage of.
Of course we have our daily challenges which will always cause us to choke our hands into our virtual assets to salvage the situation. The fact is that most times it stems from lack of discipline. This was something I once discussed with my business partner, time flies and before you know, the only thing left is regret. His advice was hat I should not use my hive account as a faucet, he wants me to have a good reputation score which he termed Krampus Coefficients or KE for short.

For more info on KE, see here, I learnt something because my score is bad from the analysis I saw. Sometimes we need to be challenged by real time data so we can step up. Those small disciplined savings or staking and power ups as the case may be is something huge in 365 days. Of course, I have some debt to pay, nevertheless, I have to admit I should look for other sources to solve such problems while focusing on building my hive account.
So first, I have to stop making much withdrawals and reinvest as much as I can and secondly according to his advice, I should vote for witnesses. Before then, I only voted for one. As I said, there is always something to learn, I don't really understand the entirety of the witnessing think yet at least I can say it's about proper governance and I feel I should also be involved in helping one way or the other to support this community.
So I did some witness voting today, although I wasn't too sure of some project I gave the votes for. I first just want to make sure I exhausted those votes. The maximum number of witnesses to vote is 30. Personally, I will also want to know why it is only 30. Many projects out there deserve our votes yet we just keep them idle in there without making use of it. There are advantages to casting these votes although I am not up to date about that. I am just trusting the person that advised me on doing this since he has been here for a long time.

So there were some projects I couldn't resist voting for, one of them is Leofinance. I personally want to see this project hit the TOP 20. As I said, I personally still have a lot to learn, I will follow up and see how these witnesses operate and their impact on this ecosystem. Maybe I may have to adjust some of my votes in the process when my knowledge on this expands.
If you are thinking of how to vote for witnesses, it's very simple. I used 'Hive Keychain' wallet. When logged in, you just click on the right side menu and then click on 'governance'. You'll see the list of witnesses, currently we have 230 witnesses with some being inactive (still something to learn).
Ok, so move to the later part of this article, I wanted to buy some LEO token. My idea is to hold as much Leo as possible. Let me see how many I will be able to have before the year ends. Normally, I love using swap on 'Hive keychain' but it seem I wasn't opening so I tried to used sidechain DEX exchanges. I was having several difficulties. First, I couldn't find HBD pairs easily convert to Leo.
I decided to first convert HBD using Hive wallet exchange. I thought that would solve the problem yet it was just the stepping stone. On getting back to tribaldex, my hive never appeared and all I saw was swap.hive balance which was some fraction that was still there. I was wondering what was going on until I had to look for assistance from a friend. I never knew only wrapped hive (swap.hive) is accepted on side chain exchanges. He quickly told me some steps.
To conclude, first I had to deposit which means converting my hive to wrapped hive at the a fee of 0.75% and there I have it, I checked back and I saw my hive balance showing the needed figures I expected and without wasting much time, I converted it to Leo. I am happy I just increased my Leo stakes, hoping to keep doing this week in week out.
