That old saying, walk with 5 rich fellas and you'll become the sixth. Maybe I should also add, embrace someone wearing a strong perfume and you will smell the same. The world is a place to test and expand knowledge. The human brain is never full, something very marvelling, just that most of us have failed to even use the tiniest of the available capacity.
By the way, how was your Christmas experience? Mine was fine, I did my best to spend it how I found it convenient and again I can say it was great. We are still in the celebration season till new year comes, keep the energy positive.

One of the things that shortens an entrepreneur's knowledge is his exposure or should I add, the people that make up his idea Circle. It is either you get encouragement to give it a try or a discouragement to avoid it. I have had such experiences at my early business stage. That was when I met my boss who I worked under to learn a trade or skill if I may say.

He wasn't that advanced in his mode of operation, this was something that gave me some delays until I finally broke out. Without doubts, he taught me well, this is something I always praise him for. We started off as a laundry service so we had to go learn how it is best done. As I said, there were some limitations, what I am trying to say is this, he preferred things the local ways and in this current world of innovation, you'll soon get knocked out. There was not much advanced machines in his office and he was ok that way ( I don't know if he was actually ok).
There were times he gave me some reasons why he is not opting for higher machines which I bought the idea by then. When we finally ended our learning session and had to open up our own brand with my co-partner, we applied just exactly what he taught us. His techniques in washing and ironing were good yet we needed more. As times advanced, we had to try something out, something I now feel we should have done from day one. Many laundry businesses were making use of machines to reduce lots of stress and we finally keyed in after getting ideas from others who have been in the field also.
What happened? It moved us another step forward. Do you know customers love to see new advanced machines or equipment where they do business? Trust me, whether you make frequent use of it or not, it doesn't really matter. Firstly, machines make work much easier, we moved into a dimension of both quality and efficiency in the process. Adding to that, it moved us from a local business to one that knows and applies current trends. As an entrepreneur, one needs to understand that where things are bought matters.

The same clothes that are bought in a roadside business premises will be sold for double the amount in a boutique or a shopping mall. You don't need to ask why, you stepped in and were welcomed by the Air-conditioner, the proper lighting and arrangement of the environment; this is good business already. This business spends a lot of money on innovation to meet class and it always pays off overtime.
I could remember when I entered a barber's shop nearby to get a haircut and he was talking about an increase in his service anytime soon. I wasn't against his idea yet I feel he will be losing many customers in the process. Before you touch price, you have to look at your business standards. There was a lot of equipment still missing in his office. I personally wouldn't mind paying whatever he required if he stepped up, I am doing business too, maintaining advancement needs enough money. I never bothered to give him any suggestion so that it wouldn't look as if I am belittling his business, yet I feel he should take a day out to see how others are able to run that high price tag.
We are now focusing on introducing new machines as our business advances, it serves time and also delivers quality service. I do take my time out to see how big businesses stay in business and the trick is this; they value innovation. I have met new friends in the process who also help in guiding me to purchase what will boost our brand. As I earlier said, your circle of advisers will really matter.
To conclude, let me add, we learn everyday. What used to work may not be working just the next day. Running a business in an advanced place means you yourself needs to be up to date. You can't sell quality when your business premises doesn't look quality. You are dealing with humans who will feel cheated if your innovation standards do not meet the price tag. balance every odds.
