How can you determine how far you can go when you are yet to walk? We all know the familiar saying, the Journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. Let me add to that, 'a thousand miles walk is confirmed by its first step'. Many of us just need to take a journey with ourself. What I mean here is to start understanding yourself more; your potential, your capabilities and how it can in general turn out to be an opportunity for you.
If someone would tell me I will one day grow up to run a business and be determined to launch it to international grounds maybe I would have doubted. Even during the course of starting this journey there were still many self underestimations. Before getting there, let me wind back to my teenage days. I never really observed myself at my nursery level but I did from primary school level. I wasn't the smartest in class. In short, I didn't even make the first ten list. Being average too can be a relief, hahaha; having to brainstorm night and day to keep the class competition going was never my thing.
I wasn't dumb anyway and so it also happened when I stepped into secondary school. I was still in that average category. I was never appointed a class prefect for once and there was never a consideration, there were top competitors in front of me. I wasn't even a nominee for general school prefect selection in my set. Maybe I wasn't too good for schooling standards. Could it be why I grew up having less value for papers? You can see how the non-leadership experience goes on.

Fastforwarding, how was I able to dare the world of business? I have come to realize this; in the world of general nomination, leaders are mostly selected but when it comes to business, leaders are forged. Here you are free to choose yourself. I had to ask myself that life changing questions like, can I run a business? Can't I run a business?, can I become an entrepreneur? Can't I become an entrepreneur?. If you observe those questions you will observe that the first is 'question as question' but the preceding is 'question as a challenge'. This is where my search for who I am begins.
You don't need people to pick you, pick yourself and walk yourself through the success path. With little to no leadership experience, how will Dani be able to have a good customer relationship? When you have a strong feeling to succeed, a transformation is instantly triggered. I have had to learn and unlearn in the process. There have been trials and errors yet I have this strong belief that as long as I keep pressing, the needed doors will eventually open.
There were some business steps I was afraid to take some years ago which overtime I have had to. I thought I wasn't good enough. Maybe sometimes you need to mount yourself pressure and look for the necessary way out. It worked for me. During the course of adding something new to our business, I had this doubt that I wouldn't be able to meet up. I needed a team that would back me up to solve the needed problem. There was no ready made team, of course I will have to source for it. Did I? Procrastination upon procrastination until I decided to put a full stop.

The difference between I want to and doing it is daring. Have you ever walked up to someone and told him what you offer when actually you can't offer it? Try it, the real you will emerge. When your reputation and integrity is at stake, the best of you will come out. I never knew I could coordinate experts to get what I needed done until I took such a bold step. You need to try yourself, there are life changing potentials lying dormant in you.
Of course, it is not everyone that will end up as an entrepreneur. Nevertheless, you need to understand that this applies to every career pursuit. There was a neighborhood friend I had while growing up. We use to play street football together, he was very bad at football. We use to laugh at his style of play and even added a funny name to him. He later left the neighborhood because his parent relocated. I was surprised some years later when I saw him playing football in a more advanced stage. He was a key player in their team. To be truthful, I would bench myself for him to play, he was good. During those times he went through a period of transformation.
To conclude, let me add, humans are being of potential. Most times, our early days always seem futile but when we start keying into possibilities, we are good to go. A season of transformation will hit everyone's door, what you used to be can be exchange for what you can be. It all starts by accepting life's big challenge of journeying to get the needed result. There is no one who is determined to pursue success that will not meet up with it. It starts by realizing who you actually are.
