I'm certainly not prepared to take everything at face value. On the other hand, I do tend to believe the simplest explanations are usually the correct ones. If you are going to shoot a CEO in broad daylight, you have to be at least a little bit crazy. Probably more than a little bit.

Would you say that people that commit suicide are crazy?
If you kill yourself you're depressed but if you kill someone else that symbolizes your depression you're a whackjob :D
I think ultimately there are no simple explanations here.
Explaining away all this weird shit with "he's crazy" is similar to "god works in mysterious ways"
It's not an explanation at all.
It's a fancy way of saying "I don't know", which inherently admits the situation is muddled in complexity.
I'm just saying it isn't surprising when people with severe mental issues do things that to most other people seem batshit crazy. You're right. I don't know. I don't know what his issues were. I just think it is a more likely explanation than an elaborate conspiracy. None of us really knows at this point. Elaborate conspiracies don't tend to be so out in the open. Or maybe that's just what they want you to think. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
That's reasonable.
I'm still in "we need more information" mode.
But the information we are getting is weird as shit.
We still don't even know what the accused has to say even though everyone wants to know.
And the cops are running around disclosing information they shouldn't be.
And the media is drawing a fake ass line between him and Ted Kaczynski.
