What if our bags are now just baggage?

I have been on the crypto scene since the tail end of the last bull run. I was one of those caught in the hype. I couldn't help but throw my dirty FIAT at the coins which were showing massive returns.

Even though, at that time some were already stalling.

That was fine, it was a buy point. The tokens were on sale I told myself.

It wasn't just me that was saying that. There was a feel in Crypto that this was just a pullback. A bad one yes but just a bump in the road.

Then the coins kept falling. Falling and falling.

My portfolio, like others, lost over 90% of it's value. Even my BTC was reduced to almost a fifth.

Like everyone else, I set my shoulders straight and proudly proclaimed I was a hodl'er. This downturn was merely shaking out the weak hands.

And so, I continued to hold. Or hodl. I hodl'ed and hodl'ed and hodl'ed.

Nothing much changed. If anything my bags, which ranged from XEM, ADA, DGB, XVG, XLM and EOS inclined down further.

That's ok, I thought. As did many others. The next bull run is coming. The tide will lift all boats.

Then DeFi came.

Suddenly there was new tokens. New markets.

Liquidity pools and staking became the big thing. DeFi coins started ramping up in price giving incredible returns.

The old School alts however, they stayed the same.

There is a buzz in crypto and the only old school coins that seem to get a look in are BTC and ETH.

So the question is, are our old bags now just baggage? And if so, is there any point in keeping them?

I feel you man. I started investing in crypto half a year earlier, May 2017. Bought in on some coins too around December 2017 that failed miserably ( like XRP and IOTA ).

Unlike you, I haven't been much of a HODL-er though as I have been living off crypto in the last 3+ years.

By now, I've replaced most of those old bags by other ones that I believe in more. Although I tend to keep a small amount, just in case the coin actually moons or pumps one more time.

Anyhow, I'm probably not the best person to ask for advice but there's still only one King and I plan to keep stacking small amounts of this one week after week ( aside from building my LEO stacks and hopefully ETH in the near future ). LTC has always been a fun little coin for me to play with too.

I also invested small amounts in a number of DE-FI coins, just in case one or two of them pump.

I hope this helps.

It does help, man.

I have always had a soft spot for LTC too and have a little ETH. LEO was a surprising one that I am just getting into and I hope to increase my holdings as I can see it blowing up very soon.

We cant go wrong if we keep adding the BTC stack whilst it rockets!

I think my next punt will be this RUNE one I keep hearing so much of. Just a little to test the waters :-)

Luckily, for us there's all these different ways of earning ETH ( these days ). In fact, I'm trying out a new one, since today ( as mentioned in my latest post Dangerously Happy ), pretty amazing, if you ask me :>)

Investing in LEO and slowly building your satoshis, buying bits of Bitcoin can't go wrong.

I have been thinking of getting into Rune for quite a while, but the fact that I seemed to need Binance for that and that I couldn't manage to log into my Binance wallet, made me decide otherwise.

Have a nice weekend!

I will check it out. I am always interested in more ways to earn and when it's ETH as well, that makes it more interesting!

Have a good one dude!

To be honest, I only tried out NFT Showroom so far and that one works with (SWAP.)Hive but my next step will be other platforms that work with ETH.

I just put my second art piece for sale on NFT showroom and blogged about it here. It's a steal haha!

Feeling more excited every day.

See you around :<)
