Indeed, currently 1200 people are in a shelter, but numbers are hard to come by. The place is mostly resorts and expensive luxury housing, so there was a bit of a housing shortage before the fire, now made much worse. Plus the people all worked in Lahina, which is now gone.

They definitely need to get all the help they can get. Hope the government will prioritize them and come up with solutions not only of their housing but also of their livelihood.
