that's something that is literally not possible since no witness would ever agree to remove data from the blockchain itself because they'd quickly be thrown out of the super majority who can make such decisions
Is that even technically possible?! Doesn’t every newly created block use the hash of the previous one? I know that in the Bitcoin blockchain, it’s extremely difficult to alter a block created more than 2–3 blocks ago, and with every newly confirmed block, it becomes even harder—that’s considered hacking.
So, all blocks in the chain are connected. If you change the content of one block, it breaks the entire subsequent chain (the hashes don’t match, and integrity is compromised).
But you’re saying a witness wouldn’t do such a thing. Based on your words, it sounds like it’s technically possible but punishable—or am I misunderstanding something?
If this is possible, then we don’t have a blockchain; we have something completely different. If you can, please explain how it works.
