In the end I think most people leave this blockchain because they didn’t feel they made “enough”.

So how do we get them to join without dreams of retirement? How do you see it?

Sort:

Focus upon builders and not users. Those are the ones who can see an opportunity and potential.

Users are smitten by the shiny new things and will not get it until things are well established.

I think the builders are those that stick around for the long haul right now.

In the past you guys talked a lot about users vs owners. Also an important shift in thought that needs to happen to get people to stay.

Yes.

It is not exclusive to Hive. This applies to all of Web 3.0.

Also, we need to make Hive more user friendly and intuitive ! It's a steep learning curve compared to legacy social media

True. It’s simple compared to other crypto I think but hard compared to legacy.

I always explain it as a social media space where the Communities design makes it non-toxic compared to legacy social media that fills your feed with adverts and people you're trying to avoid.

We need people to come here to create and curate, with earnings being a purely secondary added bonus not the main driver.

That can happen when you can obligate individual with a sense of "dispassionate duty".

In other words, when omeone is threading here out of fun, being informed by an intrinsic motivation.

Rewrads should be a product of that engagement.
