RE: Greed Cult

The most ironic thing I find with Bitcoin maximalism is that I'm personally on this blockchain thanks to certain early crypto influencer that long time ago endorsed Steemit. That same person later proudly took the mantle of toxic Bitcoin maximalist and would consider anyone even thinking about having anything to do with a s***coin like Hive an enemy of humanity.

To be fair, Bitcoin maximalism makes at least some sort of sense in context of what went on during last bull run. Those who heeded Bitcoin maximalist advice and stacked sats instead of apeing into overhyped memecoin du jour are probably better off than those who didn't.

But, on the other hand, Bitcoin maximalism is in essence tribalist and dogmatic and, like any dogma, can lead its adherents to very dark places. Cheering Gary Gensler and his jihad against altcoins is only the beginning. Things associated with barbed wire, watchtowers and someone in uniform picking up people in the middle of the night and driving them in trucks to unknown locations stemmed from the ideas that were good and noble.
