It's interesting how history rhymes. More than century ago another Luigi, Italian anarchist Luigi Lucheni, earned a bit of fame and popularity among impoverished social classes after killing Empress Elisabeth of Austria. According to Velo misto, novel by Croatian writer Miljenko Smoje, decades after the event name of Lucheni was revered among poor peasants and workers in city of Split with locals singing praise of Italian assassin and his deed.
