#historyonleo #onthisday On December 11th 220 AD emperor Xian of Han is forced to formally abdicate Chinese throne to Cao Pi, son of warlord Cao Cao, ending the nearly four centuries of Dynasty Han. Cao Pi declares himself emperor, but his rule extends only to northern state of Cao Wei, while rival states Shu Han and Eastern Wu remain independent. China, which was de facto split from 193, will be reunited in 280 under Emperor Wu of Jin Dynasty.
