#news #cinema Žarko Laušević, Serbo-Montenegrin actor known as one of the last big stars of Yugoslav cinema and for his troubled private life, has died at the age of 63.
Laušević, born in Montenegrin city of Cetinje, has worked mainly in Serbia. He became popular in 1980s through prison drama series Sivi dom and Croatian 1987 film Officer with a Rose.
In 1993, during altercation in Montenegro, he fatally shot two youths. Laušević maintained that he acted in self-defence, but the protracted court case led to four years in prison, endless controversies and deeply affected his career.
